We booked a very late deal (Saturday morning but flew on Tuesday) to Dubai for 3 nights staying in a lovely hotel. It was great but the food was dear....tried not to over indulge.
I am going to start saving up for a family holiday there for 7 days next year if i can. I would rather do one nice holiday even if its short than a longer one for the sake of it.
It was very hot at about 44c each day. We spent a lot of time inside but did sunbathe for a couple of hours each day mainly spent in the pool to keep cool.
Summer is not the best time to go cos it is sooooooo hot then, but other times in the year are more expensive.
Oh, to be back there now.
OOh lovely my OH worked in the Middle East for a while but I never got a chance to go as we were running a hotel at the time and although it was winter at home I had to stay because of taking bookings
He worked in Abu Dhabi mainly but went to Dubai sometimes

I stand in awe of how much you have paid off. Well done for persevering with it.
I hope you have a great breathing space in August.

Its down to working too hard and doing knack all. Its been hard and i am not liking it one bit, but i so want to be debt free and i cannot spend my life waiting for the next brown envelope to drop through the door.
Short term pain for long term gain.

Is the increase from £100 a day to £150 just a short term catch up thing, or are you able to maintain that longer term do you reckon?
