If you do think that payments might be a bit sporadic for a while, it might be worth telling HMRC before they get shirty. At least you can then say that you kept them informed at every opportunity.

I don't think they will be too harsh on you though - you are clearly making a huge effort, which is more than many would.

I can imagine how frustrating it must be to depend on your money from people who have a regular wage, and therefore don't know how stressful money 'just drying up' is!

I hope that it is now sorted and words assertively said, so it doesn't happen again.

Hi Guys, thanks for your kind words

Don't know how long i will remain liquid for but i know i can get to the end of this month. I have made my feelings known at work and i hope they have been taken on board. I suspect i may have been wasting my breath.

    Onwards and downwards!

    Have a good day xxx

Well done. Feels good when you get back into the swing of things, doesn't it?

Hi Whitewing, it does feel good to get back to normal, don't know for how long though.

Just done today's payment. £100 making total so far £9240.

I have also completed this years accounts and sent them to my accountant to see if he can get me a reduction in my payments on account.

    Fingers crossed.

    Hi Lemma,

I was just reading about your cash flow & can understand the frustration, although I'm self-employed, so have more direct control - and CAN call people and ask them to pay. Had spent a bit of time this week calling one place to find out when I could expect a (relatively small) invoice to be paid & kept being put through to an extension number voicemail or cut off. The cheque arrived in the post today, so guess they got tired of calling - yay! (Only left one polite but direct message).

Fingers and toes crossed for you.
