Hi,
My advice is to keep well away from the Golden Sands complex. We were unfortunate enough to be allocated Golden Sands 5 which was slap bang in the middle of the Red Light District. Just down from this complex is a large supermarket (Spinneys) and it was here my husband was propositioned by a 'Lady of the night' during the day. The security staff told us they spend so much time asking them to leave the shop, it is really a major problem. My friend has stayed at the Dessert Rose (exceptional) and the Ramada (excellent) but still too close to the red light district for me. I prefer the Jumeirah Beach area despite the building sites and noise, but you may be pushing it for less than £100 per night. Good Luck. Sallysaver0 -

You will be lucky at 200/250 a night.Jumeirah Beach area hotels are pricing themselves out of what I think is reasonable for anyone but the rich .
Prices are well up on last year0 -
Are there no b and bs? This is way out of my price range. By the time I get to Dubai, I'll have had almost 5 weeks in OZ so can't afford £ 200 pn.
Thanks0 -
I got Oasis Beach Hotel, B&B with access to the privelege club, 10 floor room with sea view for around £100, maybe ring the hotel up and try and book direct. They gave me a special offer for going direct which they made even better when I arrived!2p off is still 2p off!0
