Apparently there is a desk at the aiport just after you come through from arrivals that does some very good deals.2p off is still 2p off!0

Great deal at the moment with Bestatravel - they are doing the new Grosvenor Hotel with extra night and HB free offer - great reviews only 5 months old on the marina bang next door to sister hotel so can use beach etc. My friend has just returned and spent her days relaxing hotel based and had a fab time no building noise etc, although if you go out or look out your window expect it to look like Beirut on a bad day .... once it's all done we are talking stunning and huge price increases no doubt .0

well, thanks for that. Amazing, everyone is so helpful here.0

Welcome to the MSE site.
I would agree with fatboyonadiet. Dubai is one big building site at the moment, so if you don't get a sea view room.........your view will include several cranes and general building site eyesores.;)
We stayed at Le Royal Meridien, a lovely hotel but it exceeds your price target.
To second this, the Royal Meridien is affected by the building work - but this will only cause you problems if you go out looking for problems.
We were there in August last year and the building didn't cause much bother.
We are going again this year, so it can't be all that bad.
And I'm very classy!

I just feel a bit awkward not booking any hotel from here...just say by chance i dont get a good enough deal at the airport? Gift from my dear hubby!0

Look at kayak.com prices in USD but use the links to websites to buy. Towers Rotana showing available but £125 night, plenty cheaper but not sure if locations will be ideal. Did you have any luck with IBIS or Novotel, you wont get a better location for the money.0

gtahotels.com (found it through kelkoo search) have Rydges Plaza £118 per night (reduced price) and excellent reviews on tripadvisor.0

thanks for the reply. Just having a look on the site u suggested. Wherever i ask, people seem to mention that i will get a better deal once i get there. Might just cross my fingers and do that.......unless there is a hotel who can keep provisionla bookings till the last minute.0

err hmmm
you could book direct with the hotel and hope they dont take your card details, and when at the airport see what offers they got,0 -
This hotel is used alot for business but we have stayed twice and are going back on 3rd march due to building site at beach. The hotel is great has 2 pools and and a food courtyard (10 restaurants). convenient for airport and city. You can however, get a courtesy bus to royal meridien if you want to go to beach for a day. We boked with british airways holidays not sure of cost now but was under £100 per night when we booked.0
