Do you want to stay in teaching in some way?

Have you ever done any other jobs?

What hobbies do you have - would you like to do something that uses those sort of skills?

Something public fronting or behind the scenes?

Any other skills we should know about, languages etc....

I worked as an office temp YEARS ago.

I sell Avon, my hobbies are sadly my fish(!) and my doll house, God I am really am tragic, I do have real life friends honest. I like organising stuff. I LOVE history and books

I don't have any other skills. I like working with Special Needs kids and EAL kids.

I love teaching the little kids at my tutoring mainly cos I can see the value in what I teach them, maths/english etc.

    ermmm. think thats it.

    thanks Pooky xxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • I teach primary and i think the recommend a Teacher returners course(just for upto date training) if you want to switch Buffy. Have a look on the TTA site. I am not sure i could advise on the teaching of it at times though..quite frankly it can be very bad.

THat is something to look in to, thanks Bob, I wasn't sure if I could just waltz up to a Primary school and say oi let me in!!

    xx

I'd take it as some sort of business publishing.....i.e. a trade mag of some sort?

Buffy~you could try that careers thingy that you answer multiple choice q's and it comes up with ideas.
Not sure what you teach but you could maybe travel round different schools~that way if its not a good school you arent there all the time.

    ooo what's that then?

I teach History, media and Geography - don't really like teaching History much. I am looking into Supply and depending on pay cover supervisor positions.
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Have you looked locally to see if any of the special needs schools are looking for staff? How much tutoring do you get? Is it something you could expand on whilst maybe teaching in a different field for a while (a change is as good as a rest).

I know DD1's grammar school employ tutors for lunch time sessions....could you maybe do something like that for a few hours a day during and after school and get a weekend job doing something more to do with your hobbies?
