Thanks :) DH's are poking out now, will look good when they all flower.

LG :rotfl: at you and DH with your weighing task

Those with old Christmas decorations, donate them to school. Seriously I asked W's teacher and she was ecstatic at the offer!

Greenbee I would email a complaint re the dumping of the bins and point out that you have assisted collection for a reason.

LL hope you feel better later on, take it easy. Not long til your op now.

Diva hugs for you and Tristan, love the candle BTW

  • Hi everyone. Not been around this week. Went with my mum to see my Grandad's doctors on Monday at the hospital (he's been in since he had a fall a few days after xmas) and they said that they thought it best to stop treating him now and just make him comfortable and he probably only had weeks or months to live. Very sad but we agreed. We saw him after that and although poorly he was sat up and talking and not too bad. But unfortunately he took a turn for the worse on Monday night and he died early on Tuesday morning. I know its the best thing for him rather than suffering for the next few weeks but its still hard. So I just kept busy yesterday and I'm going to see my mum in a minute. Just feel very drained today.:(

So, not much flying happening here. But I did have the firemen round last night to do our assessment and fit the smoke alarms. I'd already booked it in weeks ago so I still went ahead. But the positive side of it was that I did a quick tidy all round the house. So:
all the washing got put away
    toys got tidied
landing junk cleared and put away
    kitchen & hall swept
washing picked up from the bathroom

So it doesn't look too bad at the moment. I want to keep it up a bit as I'm just starting to get on top of things and its getting easier to keep everything tidy.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who sent positive vibes for SIL. She seems a bit better this week.

Also, sending many thoughts and prayers for you, your friend and his family MoneysavingDiva.

Off to my mum's. See you all later.
