  • I'm so fed up tonight. I've been on a course today, and am absolutely worn out so haven't done any flying, am on courses till Thurs, then Fri am going away for the weekend which is great but means I won't be able to tackle my [STRIKE]hovel [/STRIKE] home til next week. The kitchen still looks good, and the bathroom after last week, but the rest of the place is back to bombsite. It's so small (a bedsit) it's really hard to keep it tidy and clean. I hate going away and coming back to mess, but there is no way to get it done before I leave. Don't even know when I'm going to get time to pack and shop for the weekend! :o
Oh well, at least there is some clean space in here, and the main room will have to be done next week. Sorry to splurge all this out, but I was getting really miserable sitting here on the sofa looking at it all. Going to bed. Keep up the good work everyone and see you next week. Maybe a miracle will occur and I will have a major energy surge and get everything done!
I'm looking forward to the weekend, we are staying at my Mum and Dad's while they are away, so I get to be in a real house! With rooms and space!! :rotfl:

I've only started doing the shop locally crusade when Mr T started taking the p1ss big time in the last few months. But I take on board your comments. I have oil, food, communications, computer systems and banking in my portfolio. I'm not selling them just yet - that would be silly given the current state of the stock market. But, I'll see if I can find a little something in my reserves to add 'ethical' to it. Perhaps you could PM me with some ideas.

A potential convert :D I'll put some ideas together (I've still got to do the energy-saving thing for the yahoo group too...) and drop you a note.

I think in general most of the people on this thread are ethical in their approach - we all have different values, but are all prepared to listen to other people and their opinions as well as giving our own. The emphasis on reducing waste is one of the most basic approaches to an ethical lifestyle - and the fact that we work as a community and reuse/recycle within it is also impressive.

Obviously the lack of alcohol is still having an effect ;)

Triker - thanks for the link... I wish I could write like that!

Rach - all three courses look interesting, but for different reasons. Can you do all of them, or do you need to choose? If you can only do one, have a think about what your career goals are and try to list the ways in which each course will help you to achieve it.

Toots - you're doing great. I'm so glad you're back on track

Well done to the 60 thing flingers :T - what are you going to do with all the space when you've finished??

Monday - kitchen and utility mess

Finish clearing study - I've done a bit more
    Make decision on bed (Friday)

I have been to the gym - Power Stretch. It's fantastic... if you come across a class give it a try... it'll be great... for anyone about a million times fitter than me  I have to say I struggled... A couple of years ago I would have had no problems with it, so hopefully a couple of months of this, plus the 2 other yoga classes, 2 pilates, as personal training session and 2 or 3 sessions of cardio a week - plus eating properly - will get me back on form (and if I can drop a couple of dress sizes at the same time that would be an added bonus).

Of course I'm now wide awake :o but I have prepared my lunch & afternoon snack to take to work. Just my gym bag to pack before work. I'm not going to attempt to go to the gym before work, but if I go to bed soon, and manage to get to sleep  and happen to wake up at a sensible time in the morning, I might have a bit of a go at tomorrow's list before work.

Hot water bottles made, bedtime tea made ... I've been lent a CD which is supposed to help me sleep, but I think I'll try it out at the weekend.

Off to pack my gym bag, clean my teeth and see about sleep, so hope everyone has a good night's sleep. See you all tomorrow!
  • Well today has gone better than yesterday but not as well as I had hoped. Firstly our water has been off all day so I havent been able to wash dishes, put washing machine on or have a shower. Grrrr. All I have really done is to sort through a terribly cluttered cupboard and to wash the kitchen floor with the measly last few drops of water which came out of the taps. Oh well tommorrow is another day.

    [strike]Scrub the sofa.. [/strike][strike]

    Wash windows
Vacuum under furniture you can move
    Level Three
Wash any soft furnishings that are in need
Sort through coats and bags and shoes etc
    De-web and de-fluff the room
    Extras

    Good evening everyone

Diva ((hugs)) so so hard honey, thinking of you
Froddy ((hugs)) well done for going home x
johanne ((hugs)) well done for braving the dentist, you need to get these all done before pumpkin is 1 or they will get sore and cost you a lot!
    LL take care of yourself.
    Mudbath well done to DD!
pigpen ((hugs)) and so pleased to hear positive news about Tabitha
Triker well done on the flinging and big hugs for you and OH

Thanks for the birthday wishes for DS2, he's had a great evening, is pleased he went to school. I did party bags (as requested by him) for the children at Beavers which went down very well. I am not sure how popular I will be tomorrow with parents as when I walked into Beavers they were having a ball with the toys haha

Got the caravan to collect tomorrow and whatever the bill comes to to pay, getting a lot done so dreading the bill. I'm not doing toddlers as Matthew isn't well, had his jabs last week.

I dashed about tonight, cleaning and clearing up as I ended up doing the family learning session DP was supposed to be at because he was too busy, hmmm yes well we shall not dwell. Kitchens done, LR tidy but needs dusting (I know as I got some on my finger) and floors swept. I need to do some studying which has fell off already, cross with myself for that one.

Time to say goodnight from me, hope to catch up with you all again tomorrow x
One day I might be more organised...........

    Thanks triker. That was brilliant.

:grouphug:Can't they do anything for your poor face? We are getting really concerned about you.

Unfortunately its a situation that I'll have to wait until it gets better, I have had a little relief by plonking clove oil in the socket but I'm finding it hard to get in there as it's closing over. I will honestly appreciate being pain free after this is over.

Doctor said there's nothing they can do, the painkillers will have to suffice even though she acknowledged that they don't take the pain away. Kapake.

Dentist said the same that I'll be like this for at least a fortnight (she said that a week ago).

Having looked online for info some people say it lasts a few weeks, some a few months , just going to have to get on with it.

At least I can stay busy by decluttering every now and then.:D
