Hi hockeyduo - I havent been able to send you a welcome pm as you dont accept them so I am posting it here in the hope that you manage to read the thread at some point and see it!
Hello&you are very welcome to join us on the flylady thread - we are delighted if you want to give it a try.
I hope you will find the following helpful but pleeeeeeeeease dont be afraid to ask anything - no matter how silly it might seem - we have all been there, done it and got the t-shirt!!!
If you want to get your house ship-shape then you have definately come to the right place!
Hope we see more of you!!!
WELCOME TO THE WEEKLY FLYLADY(AND GENTS) THREAD
A new thread is starts on a Sunday evening via a link from the current thread so keep a watch out and dive in!
Make sure you read the first post carefully as it contains all the info and abbreviations that we use!
A new list/room is added to the 1st post every evening by pigpen our illustrious leader and by the weekend you will have been round the whole house.
Dont get stressed with the mess just try to do the list to whatever level you can manage depending on your home circumstances - work, children, OH's!!!!
Even if you only manage level 1 everyday when you come back to that room next week you will find it is easier and as time goes on it becomes more manageable and you will see huge differences - I know it sounds impossible but I can vouch for the fact it works!!!
Remember your home didnt get in a mess overnight so dont expect it to get tidy in a day!! Dont try to do the whole house at once - you will tire yourself out and sicken yourself - we have all tried it!! BABYSTEPS - little and often and you will be amazed at the improvement.
Post what you have done and forget about what you missed - there is no such thing as failure on here!!!
If you want to post a list and strike out what you have done the this is how you do it - go 'advanced' and then highlight the line you want to strike out - press the S with the line through it (its near the end of the list of symbols above your page) and it will say'strike' at each end - when you post your message it will show with a line through it!
If you want to answer a particular post then press quote and you will then be able to type a reply - to help keep the thread tidy and short if there is only a small bit of the post that you want to reply to then just delete the bits you dont want but be sure to leave the 'quote' at each end.
To put a Christmas Tree in your post so that pigpen adds you to our list - click post reply - type that you want to be added to list - then on the right hand side below the smilies click on 'more' and you will get a littlewindow with more smilies - you need to go way over to the right hand column to find the christmas tree - click on it and it will appear in your post! You only need to do it the first week.
Dont worry if you cant keep up with the thread it moves very fast just now - just pop in and post and let everybody know how you are doing!
The support, encouragement and friendship on here is simply THE BEST! ask any questions and we will give you our tuppence worth - sometimes sensible sometimes totally insane!
We dont bite - well most of us dont -have fun!!
WELCOME to the totally bonkers mad house!!!!
toots xx:DPeace will be mine

Hi, have just caught up with the thread.
Flower - the car story was so funny! I was fuming about it to start with but the image of your mum and all her neighbours berating some bewildered men was just so funny!
Tia - CONGRATULATIONS on the baby, wishing you a safe and happy pregnancy and birth
Oddjob - I know exactly what you mean about mothers and you have my every sympathy. Great she apologised though, that's amazing. My mother is never ever wrong, even when she is being completely illogical and everyone is telling her she is wrong!
Scared and all other newcomers welcome. Sounds like you have a lot on your plate, and you too Nicki. You are both amazing, juggling everything you have to do. Don't worry too much about your house, sounds like you have enough to deal with without stressing about that too!
TAG - thinking of you and hope your DH gets the job. It's so tough having money worries. We are just starting to deal with our debt and its
Diva, thinking of you and your friend Tristan.
Mozzy - hope you sell your house!
Froddington and everyone else who is ill, hope you are soon on the mend.
Pigpen - so glad to hear Tabitha is better :j
Rach and Mr Rach - Happy Anniversary!
Mudbath - lovely to hear about your daughter's acheivement, you must be so proud. :T
As for me, have done level one in kitchen, actually just cleaned the worktop - it's taken all day to wash up enough to see the worktopbut I'm very pleased with what I've acheived. It is positively gleaming and there is space in the kitchen! I wouldn't have done all that without this thread, I lack motivation to do anything without support, so thanks guys!
Night all, try not to post too much, it takes me ages to catch up! :rotfl:"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Thankyou - i've got a big grin on my face! :rotfl:
Oddjob - in suspense here - what DID she DO?
Oh I take assembly tomorrow (I was ill last time - mooncup incident - and got out of it) I have just spent 2 hours cobbling together a Chinese New Year Assembly with resources:D
but oh - the prayer. Now why didn't I ask Pink?
I wrote this -

What do you think?
Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Rach - that's the paper one out of the way

HockeyDuo - Toots is right - this is my 3rd week doing this thread - I aim to do Level 1 & sometimes do a bit more if I have time & both me & DH have been amazed at the difference & its becoming easier.
Tonight I am in a state of shock as DH fresh from yesterdays success in clearing out THE CUPBOARD UNDER THE STAIRS....HAS TIDYED OUT HIS WARDROBE - I have only been mentioning it to him for around 2 years!!!0 -
