Tjhanks to everyone who posted comments for me- and a huge thanks to AliEnRik the info you posted from another post was FAB!!!
To keep ya'll upto date - we did change the settings to Cinema mode and had a fiddle with Brightness and Backlight and HEY PRESTO!! We have got a super TV viewing experience. We have also popped it up on the wall and it really makes the room look fab..
