We have been recommended the Crowne Plaza in Sharm. All we need to do now is find the best all inclusive deal. Any ideas where to look?

    Thanks

    Steve

I stayed in the hotel next door to that in Sharm last year.

Just to warn you (in case it matters to you) its NOT walking distance to Sharm.

I stayed at the Reef Oasis Blue Bay.
  • Not bothered about not being able to walk into Sharm I intend to spend the week chilling by the pool and snorkelling! More bothered about making sure I get the best deal. I have found a site called beathebrochure.com which seems to offer good deals on this hotel. Any others out there?

We stayed in the Three Corners St George's in Sharm this winter, for a week, coming back on 25th December and it was lovely.

It was clean (I mean spotless), friendly, full of Brits, a few Scandinavians and the odd person from elsewhere. I think we spotted on Russian family in our hotel. The staff were kind, caring, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. I would highly recommend it. My husband was ill while we were in Egypt and the onsite doctor made what could have been a nightmare into a breeze as I had our 6 year old to look after as well.

We did venture into anther hotel full of russians and it was totally different - everything was geared towards Russian speakers and we would have been verr uncomfortable there.

We are avid snorkellers/divers and have just booked via Travel Republic for July at the Hilton Sharks Bay. They were a £500 cheaper than the best price we found.

This will be our 1st time to Egypt and it looks fantastic.

Our last trip was to the Gulf Coast in USA. The snorkelling there was fantastic as were the beaches/hotels etc.
  • went to baron palms in sharm:o the reef is fantastic. the place was constantly being cleaned. food average. but read the reviews for it on trip advisor:j we heard the concord el salam is fantastic for kids? on ice rink and horse ridding.
  • We went for Christmas and had the time of our lives. Lots of water slides for the kids, beach accross the road which still had ai bar and food. My sons snorkled from the beach which also had a pier for snorkling. It was amazing, even just walking in the sea knee deep - so many fish, so many colours to see. Would def go back.

From the Crown Plaza into Sharm centre will be about £4.50.

The hotels will call cabs but these are more expensive than the blue meter taxis
  • Went to the Sharks Bay Hilton in September and I can't recommend it enough. I am very fussy but could not fault the hotel at all.

Would love to go back but I just can't go the same place in a year (its not in my nature!) and so I am looking at the Beach Albatross Palace or the Dana Beach in Hurghada for March.
