Thought it was time I checked in to this board after a long absence. Very few £2 coins in the last few months - however £140 banked!! Supposed to be for a spa treat, but think I ought to use this as a reward for losing weight - maybe after losing the first stone or something, so will carry on with my £2 coin collection. Good luck to all newcomers.
Weight loss - here we go again - watch this space!

    US...........And them............

Hi I don't normally join in on this thread but I am an unofficial member of the £2 coin savers club! I had to pay parking in town today and I only had a £20 note on me to put into the machine to pay my £2.20 .... and £16 pounds worth of £2 coins were amongst my change! :rotfl

I dutifully came home and put them in my piggy though!

We have banked nearly 3000 in two pound coins since starting it when our boy was born in 2003...... we both do it so it really mounts up! We are thrilled to bits - this will be worth more than his CTF! FABB!

I got three on Hogmanay. Going out drinking seems to be the best way for me to get them

  • Hi - I've just 3 more making £66 but have already added £100 just before Xmas back into circulation :-)

Should these beed noted in the spending diary as they are not spent but not for using ? if you see what I mean
  • Ooh, can I join?

I remember thinking the coins would be worth saving when they were first issued and have tucked them away ever since...if only I'd thought that the first time I saw a £50 note...
  • Haven't posted for a while, back up to nearly £600, so hoping to get back to the £1000 again before I pay off a bit more on the mortgage - or something equally as virtuous!
  • Another 1 for me £2.00 :-)
