relatively new to the site and only just found this bit! have been seeing signatures with £2 coin savings and wondered.. lol
I have been saving £2 coins since they 1st came out and I save up for my car tax every year with £2 coins! any left over go towards the following year and I always have enough, though (probably due to this site) there does seem to be a shortage of them these days?!!? But I have to say if I have one in my purse I WILL NOT SPEND IT! I would rather split a note than part with one.. its like a £2 coin religion that I am supporting one hundered percent!
glad to know I'm not alone!.. will make note to self to count up and add to signature not that I am "official" (am I or do I need to do something like roll up one trouser leg and have a funny handshake?!?) .. keep it up all, it is quite easy!

  • I'm in too. Got a £2 coin yesterday! Little acorns and all that!
  • Hi Green Fingers,

    Can I join please - I got 2 today!

I'd like to save up for my summer cheap camping holiday with them.

I'm putting them in a terramundi too - that means I can't get at them!

    Thanks,

    Count me in! :)

I had about 360 pounds in one of those beans tin type money boxes you had to open with a tin opener last year, am currently saving in one that holds approx 1000 pounds, will probably take ages to fill!

Helloooooha Green Fingers! I'll join too if i may? I rarely see a two pound coin but i'll have a go at a saving them!!

Would be nice to try and save them and then after 6 months but something nice or the most sensible thing to do would be pay off some bills I suppose! :rotfl:

Updated sig to be added shortly!

Brilliant ideas GreenFingers!! please can I be in your club!!!!!!!!
I've saved coppers for years and share it out between my two kids- even no, at 15 and 13, they are still quite happy to count and bag up the coins. I think coppers should be taken out of circulation altogether! Most shops seem to have everything rounded up to the nearest 5 or 10p. In my day, a penny sweet cost as penny...not 5p!!!
Am going to start saving my £2 right now

£2 coin saving is an obsession in this house too - husband often laments the fact that a bottle of milk has cost him £9 when he gets four in this change LOL. ;)

My £2 coin terramundi currently weighs 6lb 14.5 ounces - anyone care to hazard a guess?

    M.

Come on then, are none of you terramundi owners going to hazard a guess at my total to let me join the club?
