Got 3 this morning from the post office.
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

....... I am in a dilema though DD1 gets £2 pocket money from my dad every week so she has loads (great that she hasn't bought anything and she want's to save it!) But i am now in a dilema do i offer to bank the £2 into her account and pay it in in notes for her then I can have the £2? (She has around £30) I dont know what to do.

    Hello Nikiyoung,

    Here's some tips I posted a while ago.....:p

Tips for Gathering, Hoarding and Squirreling Away £2.00 Coins

    Newsagents and Corner Shops
The smaller shop keepers are always crying out and lamenting for small change. Poor babes… :p Now’s your chance to be their Best Friend. They fret, worry even agonize and have Sleepless Nights about not having enough pennies in the till…poor souls…. Listen to their woes and lamentations… They will love you and even talk to you…then strike… exchanging your pennies for the Prize. If you’re lucky you may even get a freebie item or two from them – check the sell by date though….:D

    Raid the Kids Piggy Banks
Yay…how good is that….:p The Raid can be done by Stealth or by Bullying. Stealth is great and really, really Sneaky and involves Sweet Talking and Cajoling … whatever that means… :p Bullying is much more fun – hee hee. :D The kids will probably much prefer lots of really shiny, wonderful little 5ps instead of one big dull, unexciting, really heavy, brassy thing. If the stealth doesn’t work then up-the-anti to Bullying – hee hee. Bullying involves lots of ‘Finger Wagging’ and ‘Stern Looks’ – practise in front of a mirror.:D

    Banks
A great source of £2.00 Coins or should be…after all they make the things….. Take your pennies to these places – strike while the Iron is hot…or something like that… Don’t go at Lunch Times when they are really, really busy – they will be annoyed and Glare at you. Plan your visit times carefully.... be Shrewd and Sneaky. Going to the Bank two minutes before closing time is not being Shrewd and Sneaky.:D

hee hee, these stories make me laugh! I have my own too...

This weekend I went camping and managed to get 3 £2 coins in my purse. The OH and I got quite tipsy and as it was raining thought we would get a cab back from the pub instead of walking 2-3 miles. We only had a few ££s in cash on us and I refused to hand over the £2 coins so we had to walk. I woke up the next morning with the OH laughing at me, a sore head and 3 £2 coins hidden in my sleeping bag (in my drunken state I was convinced the OH was going to steal them).

I'm glad to see others are as obsessive as I am!

I really don't want to show off, but I am afraid I just have to!!

Had a birthday the other day and OH bought me this fabulous present which I have called Louis (martin lewis) anyway, he saw it and just knew it was something I'd like.

    here it is:
    117waj5.jpg
    It talks and everything!!
It tells you what coin you are putting in, and you can set a target, mine is 50 pound in 99 days and it tells you how much you have put in, if you arent reaching your target it gives you a hard time and says you arent feeding it etc!
Then when you go to make a withdrawel it says ;Oh ho are you sure you want to withdraw OUR money? lol , like that Our money!
It also says hello when you pass it and he moves his arms about and wishes you a nice day.
    I LOVE IT!

Oh and got 3 more 2 pounds :)
