Some of my friends & family think I'm weird & can't understand why I get so excited when I get a £2 coin.
Doesn't stop them passing them on to me though - or in the case of my 18 yr old son selling them on!!
I can't believe how quickly the amount has grown. Just shows how much spare money I was wasting. Spare money I didn't even know I had!!
Just booked a holiday in Kefalonia for later in the year & my stash of £2 coins convinced my OH that we can afford it!:j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0 -
Another 2 today thanks to my mum. Think I'll bank them once I get to £80 and then it can earn me a bit of interest.Books - the original virtual reality.

Just one coin to add so far this weekend. There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

I was telling a friend recently about collecting £2 coins and all the other change I collect and she thought I was a nutter...lol
I went to the local shop to school to get some change to get the bus home as I only had a £5 note. I bought some chewing gum for 31p and the kind lady gave me back 2 x £2 coins and the rest in 20p's and copper so I ended up walking home from school (3 miles) as I just couldn't bring myself to break into a £2 coin!!!!
Then on Friday I needed some cough sweets for my sore throat and took a fiver to the shop. The sweets were 55p and I was again given 2 x £2coins and the rest in 20p's and copper. My OH couldnt believe that I put the lot away for saving....his words, not mine "those sweets just cost us a fiver"...he is right but I just cant seem to help myself.
Is this complete dedication do you think??!!

...having just spent three days working in a paybox at our local Steam Fair. People kept handing me £2 coins as part of the payment - I must have had 2-300 these last few days! It was so tempting to swap five for a tenner every now and then... but I resisted! Still at £60.

I started saving all my £2 coins a few weeks back and I have been amazed just how many I've got in such a short space of time - £30 :j
It's such a good idea and I'm hoping to have saved enough for all my Xmas prssies this year :T0
