Possibly a stupid question but does it have to be £2 coins ...I never seem to get them but have been saving change in a tin...can I count that instead?Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0

Is this a record?!! I got £18 today!!!
Got two in change from the Post Office this morning. My friend gave me one he'd been saving for me for a couple of days Then the SA in Boots gave me six in my change this afternoon & was full of apologies!!!
Luckily I got paid not so long ago so I can afford to put them all in my tin. Once they are in there they stay until I take them to the bank.
This has proved to be an excellent way for me to save as I naturally cut down on spending when my purse & current account are empty!!

As far as I'm aware it should be £2 coins for the £2 coin club, but loads of people seem to collect all change. I intend to when I find a suitable container.
It isn't even good money saving:o0 -

Another one for me from the nice man at the train station in my change.
It may be going up slowly, but it is still looking rather good in the little pigsback piggy.0 -

Its been nearly 6 weeks since I posted on this thread. I have now managed to aquire another £94.00 in £2 coins. I thought that they would dry up but I have managed to get around 8 a week. Most of them have come from the works canteen. So nearly every other day I have to change a note, and what happens I get another one.
Not sure if I am actually saving any money but it seams to help that every week I move a little more into my web saver for the coins.
Am now going to use the money to take the wife away for the night on her birthday in September.
Thanks Greenfingers.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0
