I remember my dad did this years ago when the new £2 coin first came out. He literally had a box which was taped up at the top...when it came to holiday time, we emptied it out and there must have been at least £500 in it!

I think that is a terranium (not sure if that's the correct spelling) but it's a thing to put plants in. I had one once (terribly seventies, I think!) but the plants all died anyway. Hopefully my money will grow when I ger a terramundi (tomorrow with a bit of luck! Mind you,I don't think I should be spending money in order to save some!!!!

I don't think people realise how much actually builds up! I worked out that if I filled one of those large plastic Coke bottles (like they sell/used to sell in Wollies) It would hold (no joke) - approximately £10,000!!!!

Nor have I. The trouble is that I'm really tring hard not to spend anything and if I don't spend anything then I'm not going to gaet any £2 coins in change!!! I expect I'll be way behind everyone else on this one!

Came home tonight to be informed that my Oh had to smash open my piggy to get money to pay papers - to !!!!!! lazy to up to his wallet up stairs :mad: :mad:
