So far only one this week. ONE!!! Ha! Pathetic!
Even attempted to cheat by buying a newspaper with a crisp new tenner yesterday in the hope of some interesting change. I got interesting change all right - NINE £1 coins! Ooooh, I gave the cashier SUCH a look!
Maybe I'll have better luck in Asda tomorrow? What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

I've been umming and ahhing about swopping them out, and have decided to do it. I can swop £20 across from my personal account to the business one, but I just sat there last night with a pile of £2 coins going "I can't pay them in to the bank, I just can't" So bad, I was there for ages debating it!

Hubby has just counted our babies and we now have the proud total of £136. and we are going to fill the ginger jar so we know how much it holds. It's 8 inches high by 8 wide we cann't find a tape measure for the circumference but when we do I will let you all know. This is so excitingSuicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.0

One more for me today. There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

I've got a confession to make :$
When I was collecting my coins in the Lidl olive jar, it was too easy to "borrow" one for something silly and last night I got so guilty at myself (I'm saving for my little monsters and I felt like I'd let them down) that I slightly went off on one and did something about it.
I ditched the olive jar and opened a new Dove soap from the box. I taped the box back up, made a slot for the coin then spent 2 hours in photoshop measuring the soap box and making a pattern to print out and glue around it. On each side of the pattern is a picture of one of my cats looking lovely so I think now that if I ever got the urge to "borrow" a coin I'd have to confront the images of them staring at me looking helpless.
I still feel really crappy with myself for what I did in the first placeHopefully now my savings should creep up a bit quicker :-\ Please don't judge me, I just needed to get that off my chest :$

Hi Amosworks,
Do not beat yourself up, we have all done that at some point. And if those savings helped you out when you needed them than its a good job that you had them there eh?
I view mine as a sort of petty cash and although I am saving it for Christmas I know its there if I need it.
Good for you for getting right back on it today.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000
