Hi all
Got another one today (well, yesterday actually as its past midnight, but pretty pleased anyway!).
Tinkerbelluk - sorry to hear about OH - hope he's out of hospital soon. Totally understand about the costs of carparking as Mr Piglet has been in hospital several times over the last year and I really resent the way they make money out of us folks who can't avoid the situation (what are we supposed to do...leave our loved ones with no visitors for days on end?!?!). They have the monopoly in this situation and we have no choice...ggrrrrrrr!!!!!
Lisle - sorry to hear you have been in hospital, too. Hope you're feeling better now. Sad to hear about your hungry Terramundi, but Venice sounds like a fabulous idea - I say fleece those visitors for all you can get!!!
GreenFingers - love Pork Scratchling! I am currently saving in a vase/pot that my parents in law brought us back from France as a holiday present...but I have to admit, having seen PS, I am tempted to get something a bit more appealing (or does that negate the MSE ethos to spend money on something more attractive to house the savings?!?!).
Verbatim - well done on your money saving - you may have had to dip into the £2 savings...but at least you didn't have to dip into your bank savings - so I would say this is a definite plus!!
EthelBloggs - Keep looking! They are out there somewhere!! I banked £60 with no problems before I "officially" joined this challenge, and then (once I had joined) spent over a week without finding any... But I have gained £6 in the last two days, so don't give up hope - they are out there somewhere. Welcome to the challenge and good luck!
Piglet0 -
piglet6 - Many thanks for your kind words - I agree they have got you held captive in terms of car parking but the worse thing is that you have to pay for a minimum of 4 hours even if your only there for two!!
Anyway - another night at the hospital yesterday and another £2 for me :TYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Another one last night - making it up to £60, so off to the bank with another £20 bag. We've even renamed the spare saving account online the two pound coin account. Think I must be losing the plot!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0

I feel very lax not logging it till now but I got another one on Monday.
Although the bathroom is a long-term savings aim I am quite tempted to use the £2 collection soon for a small project that will make an immediate difference - we have untidy gravel round a small tree at the front of the house and I'd like to get the same or similar heavier purple slate pieces to tone with the frontage across the road and give it a real facelift.Do I Need One Stops All Unnecessary Reckless Spending£2 CSC - £30 :kisses3:0
