Spent far too much money in several posh bars/clubs over the weekend, but on the plus side, got 3 x £2 coins! yey!

I am collecting my coins in a terramundi and have been trying to remember how much I am putting in but have now lost track completely. I did notice that some people are weighing theirs so was wondering if this was the way to go and if so how do I know how much I have??? I hope this is making some sort of sense to somebody.....

Hi Alison

I don't think anyone has figured out exactly how the weight translates into the number of £2 coins but maybe that adds to the excitement, when its full you'll be amazed at the total!

Alternatively, people have said you can get coins out of the terramundi without breaking it by using a flat knife through the slot to ease them out (not tried it myself). So you could get them out, count and then put them back and keep better count in future if you want to know how much is in there.

Thanks Kath for the advice. Think I will just leave it til it is full like you say and get a massive surprise. All I do know is that on Saturday I got 3 and today I got another 2!!!! So it is building up to a nice little sum.

I took my 1p and 2ps down to the PO and they exchanged them for a £2 coin!!! My first... just need my terramundi to put it in now!!

Someone just put a £2 coin in the charity box at work here...I was about to take a screwdriver to the box to get it out (and replace it with 2x£1) am I getting fanatical about this!

Today the woman in the post office was EVIL!

I was exchanging a few bags of pennies, and she was very nasty with me "it costs us to take these you know, next time do it at one of those machines in the supermarket" I politely tod her that they charge and when im not changing a lot at a time it makes it pointless. But she wasa dament she was doing me a huge favour, and not to extct to get it done again!

Are you a regular? I am at mine so so if they come out with that to me I would of gone off on one!!! When I send my eBay stuff I have a queue of people huffing and puffing behind me!! All they wanna do it withdraw their benefits! I feel like telling them that doing that won't keep a PO going.. you need to acutally use there services!!! :mad:

Yes, infact just before I changed the pennie i posted four parcels of ebay stuff! IT really annoyes me when jobsworths like that spoil your day
