Mostly out of Barcelona to be honest. My cousin lives in a place called Cornella and they are huge music fans. I'll e mail her to see if she knows of anywhere. She works for airline and may well be away but I'll try for you.0

Ah thats excellent thanks very much! Still looking at hotels, think Las Ramblas will be where we'll be because of the fact it's touristy and the museums and stuff are there0

We stayed in Hotel Jazz last Aug and I loved it - had rooftop pool with bar etc - just off play de catalunya, very close to anything yet quiet!!
Hope hat helps - booked room off comparison website and was very cheap!!

Thanks for that Abby, I'll certainly have a look into it. Does the place have a restaurant?0

yes, placa de la catalunya is the centre - it's where the buses all start from. I would try to find somewhere within walking distance of there.

Cool, thanks for the advice guys. Do you have any ideas of where in Barcelona I should book the hotel? Everything is so confusing, I know were flying to Reus if that helps.
Do you have to be in the centre?
My hubby and I went with another couple for 4 nights in October. I booked the travelodge - Barcelona Hospitalet. It was really cheap. Spacious, clean, no problem for us.
I booked all four nights separately and opted for the saver non-refundable rate if it was available. Booked on travelodge site. You can opt to pay for a breakfast when you're there - self service continental stuff. We didn't bother and just went into Barcelona. Loads of places, you don't need a hotel with a restaurant.
It's about 5 minute walk to the bust stop, then 10 to 15 minute bus ride into the centre or the train and metro. It may seem a trek but if it's not really. We are all 40 and 50 something and did ok.
You can buy books of travel tickets and basically use one per journey - so if you took the metro and train from Barcelona to the hotel it would be two each, one each on the bus.
Hope you enjoy!!0 -
I know it sounds really silly, but it's our first holiday together so I want it to be really really special. Good hotel, everything on our doorstep etc...
She loves museums, music, art...so I have to figure out all these places to take her, and I'd prefer it if I knew where we were going!0 -
We stayed at the Petit Palace Museum which is a 5 minute walk from the main square - near the underground, loads of nice shops and restaurants.
Nice rooms, great shower and free in room computers with free internet access0 -
Have you considered renting a private apartment? We're just looking up some now and are getting similar if a bit less on price (although for 4 people, so maybe it'll be slightly dearer for two)OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0

Hi
We are going in April and staying at the H10 Montcada. Have a look on TripAdvisor for reviews.
Easytobook.com had the cheapest prices for us.
