I have just read on teletext/internet that Courts furnishings have gone into administration. What does this mean in English. 5 weeks ago I ordered and paid cash for 2 sofas. Have I lost every penny? What can I do? Thanks, Angela.

Awww mate! You could be lucky and still get your purchase honoured. Hope you get lucky.

I had a similar story with co-op furnishings with a £500 fitted carpet. I paid a £100 deposit, had it fitted, tried to pay the fitters, they refused and said the company would send an invoice. They didn't for weeks and then closed down :-/ I was VERY lucky that I'd only paid the deposit and still had it delivered etc!
