:(I took out home emergency cover with Swinton (but it was using AXA)
I had a problem with boiler, I was told repeatedly by their absolutely rude customer services that the engineer that came out said I needed a powerflush. I refused to do it, so they said in the event it is was not needed I would be reimbursed, but they will not proceed any further without one being done. Did it, did not need it, no reimbursement am fighting decision, as customer services are now saying I did this off my own back!!! To add insult to injury I went to Local branch of Swinton and proceeded with the claim through them and they are still denying it.To rub further salt in my wounds I am £840 out of pocket because they told me to get my own contractor over Christmas due to the high volumes and I would be reimbursed this has not happened as yet either and we are in April, 4 months after!!. I have made a formal complaint and have to wait 8 weeks for their decision as laid out in their policy.I have read if you complain to the Financial Ombudsman each claim submitted cost AXA £500. I intend to hit them where it hurts. Fill out an online form:rotfl::T:beer:0 -

I have been with Axa for nearly two years, submitted my first claim at Christmas and am still waiting payment despite being assured it was being dealt with as a priority! Highly not recommended and I will change company at the end of the current insured year.0

That won't actually be a complaint against AXA, rather one against HomeServe. The old powerflush excuse is rather common from them.0 -
Hi!
I have got a home emergency cover from AXA, and have absolutely horrendous experience. Their customer service and claims department is abolsutely rubbish, and am regretting buying from them!!!
Have been without hot water for 4 days now and still can't get a proper response. After lot of arguing yesterday spoke to the manager who then told me to stay in a hotel for tonight and they will positively sort this out today and will re-imburse the cost!!! After reading the non-payment part on this thread I am very sceptical about the re-imbursement!!
Unfortunately I still have a outstanding contents claim, and am very worried about it now!!!!!!0 -
I am still waiting after 4 months for a decision by AXA complaints Dept. on a simple bang from behind where I am asking for twenty pounds for a new rear fog lamp which I had to replace in order to pass the MOT test. I tried their online complaint form but was timed out. The red Fiat was just too close. In comparison Direct Line and NFU insurance providers pay out immediately.0
