boogellyboo wrote: »The till recognises the original price before the blinkie kicks in, I was lucky and they were out early in my local so I got 3 items and the till recognised £19.??, less 3 4 2 so £13.70, less blinkie £8.70.
so the gwp can still work if the till recognises the things you buy at full price and they come as over £18??0 -

Any Belfast bootsers - the top floor of the store on Donegall Place has a fair lot of HE reduced.
quote]
I was in Dongall Place yesterday the lady sa downstairs with grey hair ( I shall not name ) went to check when the pantene sachets went through with extra points - that was ok, then she went to check when the reduced herbal essence went through with extra points - that was ok, then she said I couldn't use my blinkie with an item under £5, I said in 3 other stres I had done this and it wasn't a problem she took me over to the rottweiler on No 7 and she said some rubbish about having to spend at least 1p after blinkie was deducted I explained I had done this is other strores and she said 'I am simply not doing it !!'
The whole saga took over half an hour - I shall not be going back to Doneall Place
Anywho went to Antrim, Ballymena Tower Centre/Fairhill, Magherafelt, Boucher Road, Yorkgate, Castlecourt, Parkcentre & Ballyclare - no sale stuff left except cards/wrap & crackers
Just though it might save someone a trip tomorrowBusy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0 -
Woot-woot! 90% sale tomorrow! :T"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0

boogellyboo wrote: »The min spend for the gwp was definately £18 when I picked mine up last week, my original total was £19.?? Then with 3 4 2 and blinkie was £8.70. I called back last night to get another for my mum but they'd sold out  Really hope they get them back today so I can combine all 3offers before its officially out tomorrow.
It's possible that the SA told you incorrectly (unless you saw a sign that said 18 quid?). Since the offer for the new gwp hadn't really started, it would have rung up as free with any amount of purchase, so they could have made up any amount they wanted to. It won't require the true spend until this item appears in the system on Wednesday when the offer starts.0 -
so does that mean you dont actually have to spend £18....its just taht the original price needs to be £18??? am slightly confused...please help
The best thing you can do is wait until late Wednesday, if not Thursday or Friday, to go out and get the gwp. That gives time for other people to report back what they found; just read the thread for a day or two and see what others are doing. This is also helpful because people often find a glitch that lets you get the gwp for a cheaper spend than we thought we could, so give them time to find the glitch!
Basically, right now you know that whatever the spend will be (and it will be £18 or £20), you need to buy products totaling that much, then let them scan the gwp, THEN hand over the blinkie at the end and you will get £5 off.
However, quite often no7 suncare is on sale BOGOF. They are clearing out old suncare now (and I don't know if the tills count the full price of clearance items -- that's another thing to sit back and wait and see what people find), but they may put new stock in on bogof. IF they do this, what has always happened before is that the till gives you credit for the full price before bogof -- as in, buy two suncare items at £10 each, the till takes off the price of one, but the gwp still scans as free even though the real total is £10. THEN hand over the blinkie and get the lot for £5.
There's no point speculating on this too much right now as we just don't know -- your best bet to get the best deal is just read the forum tomorrow.0 -
It just shows how closely Boots monitor this site. IMO it is much more closely than before
Someone? posted only yesterday that the Sony 4GB USB pre-loaded with "Catfights and Spotlights" from Sugababes was still greatly reduced (£4.xx) despite there being no sale on. I put one in my basket. Today it is showing up as £17.49.
The wall have really big ears lately   For any newbies who were not already aware of this, please note. The more something is talked about the faster it is fixed.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
It was an £18 spend on the sign that's on the no7 display advertising the gwp. I understand they go through foc before the offer officially starts anyway but I checked the spend level so that if there was any confusion at the till I could say 'oh, I didnt know it was 3 for 2, the things I've picked are over £18' ( 342 wasn't advertised anymore)Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0

If you have a costco membership or knows anyone that does, they stock a big plastic container of the nice gourmet jelly beans. Can't remember how much it is, and wont be doing a costco run anytime in the next week, but if you are interested I can always look for you when I do have the room in my freezer for the journey. just pm me and will let you know.
Hi lhrgirlI do have a Costco membership, but won't be able to go to my local until middle of Feb. If you could just let me know how much they cost in Costco, that would be fab and I can get some when I'm home.
