I've read some lovely posts of SA's merrily letting you use the vouchers on minis.

From an earlier post you may I read that I've been a coward.

I set off today fully prepared with a print out of a .com page that shows the Righteous Butter as skincare so was ready to stand my ground.

I picked up 3 minis and surprise surprise the voucher beeped, the lovely SA could see no problem with the voucher and called a supervisor to find out how to key it, the supervisor was as much use as a chocolate teapot and set off to see a manager. Because I knew it would be sorted I let people behind me get served while I waited patiently, when she came back she says it doesn't work because S&G is on offer so I made it clear I wasn't using it in conjunction with another offer so that was irrelevant. Off she goes again and comes back with the manager and we have a repeat of the conversation. As I was standing my ground the manager very kindly let me have them as a gesture of goowdill for 20p each and they were then going to call head office about what to do if these vouchers were doing the rounds.

My plan was to get a receipt showing I'd used a coupon/ voucher on a mini so I could then show that when I tried to buy other products. I failed to get the receipt i wanted as mine shows 1 item for 60p, but I did get 3 minis for 60p so half a success.

I did feel the manager gave any random reason for it not working which irritated me, I'd rather she said she didn't know.

Thanks for ginvng me the courage to try.

I've printed off the link posted by pollsdolls (thanks polls) and I'll take with me to a different store tomorrow, hopefully with even more success.

altogether cost me 9.68, got home looked at my reciept and the s&g wen through at 50p! should of been 4.49! well chuffed with this considerin g about a month ago before i discovered this brilliant forum i had about 20 points on my boots card, now i have 2731, sooo many bath products/gifts, and having fun while doing it!!!:T
just wanted to check though the sa said i coulnt pay with points as i had used vouchers! is this right?

Rude not too really - paid wiv points...

Tried get few olay gwp through but the sa was a jobsworth-still cant win em all..

Went then in jjb n got £60 worth tops for £6 as they were put in the sale section by mistake and the banner said everything on this rail under £5

These are them. Off the top of my head they are going through for £3.67 or 2 for £5.50. HTH. x

Was it a good Bootsing session or not, I ask myself! Forgot my second set of six S&G vouchers but got 6 minis @ 20p in three different places. First shop took ages but SA tested it out on full size one then put it through as 20p. In Trafford Centre they were aware and just put them through at 20p. Neither let me have 342, but not too fussed. But found some reduced T&G shampoo and some reduced P&P and some reduced Nivea DNAge stuff and SA wouldn't let me use wrinklie or acm vouchder on any of it. I asked her to see if the till let her do it but she said it was more than her job was worth. I didn't fuss and didn't then dare go to the SS tills! Should have done that in the first place, I think, but wanted topup voucher so went to tills. I have a 250 pts voucher for No7 and wanted to use that w reduced P&P. Ah well, you win some and lose some...

Well I was having quite a lovely bootsing shop today until da da daaaa - the dreaded S&G!!!

Anyways, here is successful part:

Boots Sea Kelp & Water Mint Foaming Bath Essence 500ml
clearance 37p (there was only 1!!) instead of
Johnsons Pure Delight Shower Gel 250ml
clearance half price - 78p each (got 2) instead of
Wilkinson Sword Duplo Beauty 10 lady razors
clearance £1.25 instead of about £3 I think
ROC face & eyes wipes
used £5 skin wrinklie so £1.49 instead of £6.49
Gillette Series Men Face Wash
full price £4.88 but used 150 points voucher from ACM
Frizz-Ease Hair Serum (5ml)
used £2 hair wrinklie so free!!! instead of £1.95


Then we get to the S&G!! Not exactly unsuccessful but a bit stressy!!

Previously I have just bought 2 minis & done as separate transactions using 2 vouchers however as some of you have been putting 3 through and getting the 342 still I thought I'd give it a shot - worth a try! Anyway, as expected the vouchers beeped & I said that there have been problems with these not scanning properly but they work if they're put through manually! SA was lovely but clueless as to what to do herself so ended up calling over the Manager!!! He then said oh yeh there's a problem with those - have you scanned the items yet? SA said yes so he said unscan them and put through as 20p each! But then as she was about to unscan the 3rd one he stopped her and said no no only 2 of them!! So basically when I looked at the receipt I had indeed been granted 342 but the 2 I paid for were 1 @ £2.20 and 1 @ 20p and then the 3rd was 'free'!! Therefore I paid a total of £2.40 which tbh is a bargain (proper price £6.60) so I'm not complaining AT ALL its just funny that it is a bargain that I paid £2.40 for 3 S&G minis but then I come on here and I've been scuppered by a better bootser who got 6 for 80p!!! Hat off to you ........ - sorry can't remember name!!!!!!

Oh thank you!! Really would like some of these to put away for mens hampers but can seem to find them in my local boots!! grrrr very annoying!! ha ha I'll keep looking!!
