    Hi

If you are feeling brave you could try and use the £2.00 S&G MOC to get the items. After all you will just bin the box. Failing that I have just checked .com and they have them in stock for £4.89.
    Hiya
Im not feeling brave. :rotfl: Not got many spare pennies at the mo so thats why id like to swap. :)

Hi There. I'm afraid I just kept saying 'please show me where it says 3 for 2 is excluded? ' ' and where does it say not on minis?' and when they can't they fetch a supervisor.I repeat the same again and then they say something like its Boots policy so I say 'not if its not printed on the coupon, you can't add your terms and conditions on afterwards!'It helps so much if you have followed Sandra Scarletts tip and kept a previous receipt, having said that I know you have to get that first one.Sometimes I do think if they know you are going to hold firm they will give in before you,; also it depends on how the old hormones are !!

Thanks Freshwater, i am going to try tomorrow at the late night shopping, fingers crossed, sadly i dont have a previous receipt so hopefully the SA / supervisor will be in a kind mood. Il follow your advice on that and stand firm....

Also on a different note....does anyone know how to get post replies to your email or notifications about when you get a reply to your posting or quote? As im quite new to this and i know how popular this boots thread can be i dont fancy scrolling through all the pages if im away from the computer for a day. Not sure if that is possible tho.

    TIA
  • Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone had noticed that the voucher above (posted earlier) has a different last 3 digits to the one from the web link to the original S and G site......

Perhaps when people used the voucher above and the incentive bond came up that was maybe why? because today in my first boots experience the sales assistant keyed in the one ending in 597 (not 795) and the incentive bond didnt come up? but neither did the offer and it still had to be put through manually too. It also has less exclusions than the one above.

I am new to this so not sure if allowed to post links but if you want you can get the link to the voucher ending in 597 on Hotukdeals site via googling soap and glory voucher.

Apparently the first vouchers that went out didn't work, so they sent out new ones. That would explain the different codes. Of course, it doesn't explain how some people got the incentive bond come up
  • Can someone tell me what the S&G Superstar products are?

I got this email from them today, after complaining about a voucher i got in a christmas set, was expired April 08!

As a small token of our apologies, we’d love to send you another Soap and Glory ‘Superstar’ product from our head office here, in the hope you give our range a second chance.

Anything else on the clearance stands in there, went yesterday and only a couple of things on one stand ( radox ~ not reduced enough for my liking though) and the other one round the corner ( had those sets but didn't look at the price ) and T&G mens stuff , femidoms and other bits and bobs
This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

There is NO way to get a notification if your post gets an answer within a thread like this one. You can get notifications if the thread gets a new post (which happens every 5 minutes :p).

What you can do is make a search within this thread for your username, so if someone replies using the "reply" button, your name will appear in the message and gets picked up by the search function. I do that often for my queries. It has the disadvantage when someone replies but does not include the original post.

    Hi all

I wonder if anyone could give me a bit of advice?

I bought the new estee lauder perfume a couple of weeks ago to get the new GWP and I am really allergic to it. (can't take it back, didn't buy it in the UK)

Anyway.... due to the allergy, I have a red ring of spots around my neck and on my wrists. It looks awful, a bit like I have been strangled:eek:  .

Does anyone have any ideas what I can use to clear the reaction? I have tried the Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream stuff (is this supposed to smell really medicated or did I get a bad tube?) and it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

    Helllllp xx
    VSP Challenge 2010 No 19 - £416.09 , 2011 No15 - £497.17, 2012 No9 - £146.52. 2013 No5 - £113.92
    SPC4 No1066 - £948.95,
    SPC5 No1066 - £659.49 (2 stone 13lbs)

I am really sorry to read this. I had never heard about that type of skin reaction to fragrances. It goes to show we should try new fragrances on the skin before buying them. You can try to ebay it and try to get back some of the price paid. You can always try to approach one of the ladies at an EL stand and ask her to whom you should complain, they might give you an address.

As for the scent of the 8 hour cream, mine also smells really strongly. Someone mentioned the other day it had a lovely scent. I would never call that "lovely" it is really strong, but given its properties I don't mind. But I am also wondering it I got an old one... it did buy it in an online seller at a discount...

Hi bootsters, hope you have alll found some bargains today:hello:

I tried out the No7 pedicure set today and I have to say that it was not very good at all.:(
It didn't really do much, except, get stuck every time I applied a tiny bit of pressure against my skin.
Has any on else found that it does not work very well? Does any one know about/ or has tried out the JML ped egg at all.

With wrinkies today I picked up some reduced Olay items:
1x Olay Regenerist Serum 50ml ( with 2 free samples in the pack) priced online @ £23.98 for the serum on its own.
Reduced instore to £6.12p, used wrinklie paid £1.12p

1 x Olay Total Effects Anti-Ageing Blemish Care priced on line @ £16.63p reduced instore to £8.32p,
used wrinklie so paid just £3.32p.

Bought some Olay age defying cleansing wipes each time, to make the total come to £5, in order to get another wrinklie.:)
Used the haircare voucher to get some J F Frizz Ease Serum mini's foc.:)
Also saw some reduced ROC duo sets @ £9.98p,
    L'oreal (mini peel) skincare sets @ £5.69,
Olay touch of sunshine duo sets @ £5.12p.HTH. :)
I still have some wrinklies left, I think they are breeding overnight ..lol.
the ped egg is brilliant ,have used it on my lovely mam who has feet like a hobbit...joking..but it really transformed her dry hard skin in to smooth lovely soft feet..well pleased ,would recommend,,hth,
