Hope people have left stuff for me when I eventually go Bootsing on Thursday! Can someone explain how you get 3 x S+G mini's with 3 x vouchers for 40p? I'm totally baffled. Thanks darlings. x x x
Hiya mimi
I think it works like this:
3 x s&g mini @ £2.20
Total before discounts = £6.60
Total after 3for 2= £6.60 - £2.20 = £4.40
Total after 2 x s&g vouchers = £4.40- (2 x £2) = £0.40
Total to pay = £0.40
HTH
As a previous poster mentioned my SAs overrode the till so the minis became "beauty 20p" that's why I didn't get 3for2.
Maybe it's best to do all purchasing of minis in groups of 3, wait for 3for2 to show up and then hand over 2 x s&g vouchers0 -

I'm really sorry this is off topic. I was a regular here this time last year, am more of a lurker now. I lost my baby boy Thomas to meningococcal septaceamia on June 25th last year. He was 8 months 16 days old. I think what you're doing is wonderful. We have done a sponsored walk for the Meningitis Trust and hope to do more as things become hopefully less raw, our area lady is coming round for a visit tomorrow. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. It is such a terrible disease and it is so quick, Thomas had 4hours only from onset. The trust do fantastic work with raising awareness but also helping families who havnt just lost members, but who have survived and are left with disabilites from the disease. They rely completly on donations.
I'm sorry this is so off topic, just felt I had to say it

Any contribution or ideas of otherwise would be fine. Have you set up a giving link on the Meningitis Trust website in Thomas' name?
I've had five pms today and one yesterday offering some very generous additions so it looks like more than one basket could be put together. Someone offered mens products too which began the idea of doing a mens and a womens, or multiples to help maximise the potential funds raised.
Theme ideas would be good and advice on how to put them together. I did colour themes at Christmas with products to suit the people. Halloween is the obvious one but perhaps winners might use them as Xmas or birthday gifts so I don't want to force them..... what's best?
Thanks for all the offers, I'm overwhelmed by the response.
I sent an email to the family last night, after the first offer, to say I had been offered help but I don't want to tell them too much about how or how much until I can put everything in their hands.

Thanks for the above. Gosh, you are clever! What if the SA says only one voucher per transaction or something? There are some horrid SA's round my area and I don't want them to cause a huge fuss. So not too sure I would try it.0 -

Thanks for that, didn't know wether to bother with my vouchers or not if it was not gonna add them.:beer:You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!

Please keep updating and reminding us during the year and I will be able to contribute, I don't have anyhting to help with yet but most definately will when the next glitch comes along - you had better get a big basket methinks!!!:D
Haven't had any close encounters with meningitis but since haveing the girls you definately become more aware of issues like this.
Good luck x
Am going to try a different Boots tomorrow in a slightly 'posher' town:cool:
hopefully too posh to shelf strip the bargains:rotfl:
Thankyou, I will. People have been so generous.
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for baskets now. I think car boots might be the best place for those.

I overheard the SA talking to the lady in front of me at the till today and she was telling her about the £5 voucher, saying that there were Roc sets half price, and she would be able to use it on this
hth2014 wins: £15 iTunes voucher, £15 Amazon voucher, Sharwood's wok & sauces, Food Lover's Guide to the World book, £20 Tesco giftcard, Goodfellas x 3, Garnier skin cream, £25 Frankie & Benny's, Chiquito meal, £20 Frankie & Benny's, Panebello pizza, Harlan Coben book0 -

Yes, I normally get "one voucher per transaction," and had three minis with three vouchers intending on doing separate transactions. But the first SA just put it all though together with the other items I was purchasing.
If they scan the barcode and override, it will come up as 342, but if they do a manual override as "beauty" then the till does not recognise it as S&G 342, as in my 2nd transaction. As I said, I wasn't going to push it for 20p.
Has anyone tried combining the 2.00 off voucher with the 2.00 off from the S&G Xmas Big Bag, Grab Bags etc etc?0 -

Then possibly try to have them in separate transactions... u'd have to hand them 1 extra S&G voucher + pay an extra 20p...:o it would work out as:
3 * S&G minis @ £2.20 each but on 342 £4.40 (give 2 S&G vouchers pay 20p) or
3 * S&G minis @ £2.20 each total £6.60 (give 3 S&G vouchers pay 60p);
still not bad is it? I am dreading to try as my local is not very 'welcoming' on voucher acceptance!:o0 -
I plucked up the courage to try a £2 S&G voucher on a foot cream, but the till said NO:( the SA wouldn't override it either. I will have to seek out a young male SA next time. It is hard to work your charm on a middle aged female SA:rotfl:0

Just my luck. Went to CROWN POINT yesterday and saw nothing, and they have stocked up today! Boohiss!! Seen as I am going to start going to the gym again, I think what I am going to do is buy as many reduced HE's as I can, take them to the charity shop, and with all the extra points I'm going to buy lots of that Maximuscle protein powder shake that they do at Boots. That way it won't cost me £50 for a tub, it will be a lot cheaper! Go me, ain't I just clever!
Had to stay at home today to keep Dearest Mom company as no one else was around. Decided to vacuum the whole house including all the landings, clean the bathroom, the other bathroom, the kitchen and the front room. As I had lots of time to spare, I did a potato and onion fritter starter and a dessert (the rice flour/milk combo) too. So wanted to go to Boots today but decided against it. Won't be able to go tomorrow as off to see Daddy in hospital.
Hope people have left stuff for me when I eventually go Bootsing on Thursday! Can someone explain how you get 3 x S+G mini's with 3 x vouchers for 40p? I'm totally baffled. Thanks darlings. x x x
