Had quite a successful shop today. Went to Ventura Park, Tamworth and got the Roc dermabrasion thing for £4.78 after winklie and they had some off the heads on clearance for £1.71 so got those aswell. Then tried to do 2 CW shine spray with £2 haircare voucher at £1.10 each, SA said I could only have 1 item per voucher - I said "Oh, i've had 2 items with them before", SA "No you haven't", Me "Yes I have" SA "No, you haven't we would lose our jobs for that!" So I gave in and got 1 per voucher. Also got Naked handwashes reduced to 98p, free with Sun voucher.

Sorry if I was wrong earlier about how many vouchers the ACM gives out but it has been my experience that once they have gone, they're gone!

    Hi,

I have done the 2 items with the £2 voucher, don't think it says on voucher that you can't. Maybe SA been told not to? Sorry didn't work for you. Not sure I would have argued much either!:o
ACM in local gave me 3xp&p then in other store I got 3 more:confused: Like most other things in MrB all a bit random!

All being well, there will be so many glitches before then, that your basket will be the Envy Of All!!! Folk will be rushing hither and thither in their eagerness to buy raffle tickets.

Last month, I sent someone on this board (Nuninge I think) about half a dozen items from No 7 nail care, which had cost me pennies with the Blinkies, and the postage was under £2. There'll be similar things when the next No 7 voucher appears.

I am awash with Pantene Repair & Protect sachets at the mo, and they'll cost b*gger all to post, so I can start you off with some of those - PM me your address if you'd like them.

    xx

Yes, it was me and they are fab. They look great presented in one of the No 7 new GWP bags/cases and are also going to go down a storm at the charity quiz. Very kind of SS to be offering so much stuff and thanks again from me.

Was in my local tiny Boots today and spotted a Time Delay Anti-ageing Gentle Glycolic Peel Kit on the Clearance stand, £15.67 reduced to £7.50. I had a wrinklie in my purse, fortunately, so got it for £2.50.

However I've never used anything like this before! I've got the wrinkles and duff pores it claims to improve and I use TD regularly and not had a reaction to any of it yet. So....anyone tried this or similar? Any tips? It's not going to do anything horrid to me, is it?

  • Hi there!

I managed to get 5 s&g items today using the vouchers :D

The SA tried scanning it but nothing happened. When he typed in the barcode it said "expired" (i was using the original set of s&g vouchers which got emailed out). He then checked with someone what he should do, overrode the till and charged me 20p an item :D AND i got to pay with my points - so happy bunny!

Maybe suggest to the SA to check with their supervisor? ask them to type in the code? or suggest they override the till like they did "the other day for your friend"? HTH :D

I managed 6 mini Hand Foods today - 2 lots of 3. The first time I took a full size and a mini to the till to prove that the voucher beeped for both, then after close scrutiny, she overrode the price and also got 342, so 40p for 3 minis.

Then thought couldn't be bothered to do the whole thing again, so went back with 2nd lot of vouchers but fave SA had gone. Explained what happened in 1st shop and this time SA put through as "beauty" for 20p, no 342 (wasn't going to push it for 20p), so 2nd time it cost 60p for 3.

6 mini hand Foods for 1.00.

I remember a message where someone was saying how the Girard perfume smell but I cant find it .... to decide which one to buy.
I can remember one of them. New York Nights, smells like Armarni (sp) Code. Got testers of both yesterday, and it's true. HTH

I thought I'd share my plans with you all, to sort of formalise it.
I worked on a fundraising evening last year for a family who lost their toddler daughter to meningitis. They've asked me back this year and I thought I could contribute to their fundraising by putting a huge Bootser basket together for their raffle.
So, if anyone has bright ideas or suggestions in general, please do let me know.
I did gift baskets with values around £50 for friends for Xmas but I'm hoping to really blast this and make it well worth winning.
It's being held on Halloween, so plenty of time but I want to maximise the potential by starting early.
Any ideas, please do let me know :)
I'm starting with S&G tomorrow hopefully.

    Happyjaw,

I'm really sorry this is off topic. I was a regular here this time last year, am more of a lurker now. I lost my baby boy Thomas to meningococcal septaceamia on June 25th last year. He was 8 months 16 days old. I think what you're doing is wonderful. We have done a sponsored walk for the Meningitis Trust and hope to do more as things become hopefully less raw, our area lady is coming round for a visit tomorrow. If there is anything I can do to help please let me know. It is such a terrible disease and it is so quick, Thomas had 4hours only from onset. The trust do fantastic work with raising awareness but also helping families who havnt just lost members, but who have survived and are left with disabilites from the disease. They rely completly on donations.

I'm sorry this is so off topic, just felt I had to say it

Crown point had lots of HE 400ml shampoo for 37p & conditioner for 73p, CW heat spray 50p, CW time defy conditioner £1.38 & frizz smoothing conditioner for £1.35 (this one scanned at £5+ so SA removed ticket from shelf).

Also in White rose the SA was clearing the shelf of HE ready to be reduced & put back out later so may be worth a look later in the week.

Nothing at all in Birstall retail park apart from sachets of Wella shaders hair colour for 10P.

Did get 3 S&G minis in Crown point but voucher didnt scan so SA had to manually reduce the price form £2.20 down to 20p rather than use the coupon, still only paid 40p for 3 though. :T

Just my luck. Went to CROWN POINT yesterday and saw nothing, and they have stocked up today! Boohiss!! Seen as I am going to start going to the gym again, I think what I am going to do is buy as many reduced HE's as I can, take them to the charity shop, and with all the extra points I'm going to buy lots of that Maximuscle protein powder shake that they do at Boots. That way it won't cost me £50 for a tub, it will be a lot cheaper! Go me, ain't I just clever!

Had to stay at home today to keep Dearest Mom company as no one else was around. Decided to vacuum the whole house including all the landings, clean the bathroom, the other bathroom, the kitchen and the front room. As I had lots of time to spare, I did a potato and onion fritter starter and a dessert (the rice flour/milk combo) too. So wanted to go to Boots today but decided against it. Won't be able to go tomorrow as off to see Daddy in hospital.

Hope people have left stuff for me when I eventually go Bootsing on Thursday! Can someone explain how you get 3 x S+G mini's with 3 x vouchers for 40p? I'm totally baffled. Thanks darlings. x x x
  • Hi, i have the new york nights which i mentioned , smells like armani code, The bouquet d 'orient and lysval are very much in the same vein as the older Guerlain fragrances eg mishtoku, shalimar etc. Hth. Sorry to repeat my earlier question but if i dont have my ac will any points vouchers i have show up on the validated receipt? TIA.

The points vouchers will show on your receipts. I'm waiting for a new ac and have several receipts with points for HE, No7 250 points and UG 150 points - all scanned w/o ac and validated receipt shows bonus points. HTH
