Was in Boots the other day and looked at the reduced section. Saw that they had Mooncups reduced to an incredibly low £2.25 each!! They are normally about £20 each, so I bought all they had (10) and will sell them on eBay as soon as there is a free listing day.
Also, on the same day they had a whole load of homeopathic remedies reduced to just 50p each! These are normally around £5 each. Added to that, they currently have a 3 for 2 on all alternative remedies, so I actually got 3 remedies for £1!!! I will sell these on eBay when the free listing day comes around too. I think I got about 40 remedies, all of them have long expiry dates on them (some 2013) so shouldn't be too hard to sell them.
Got to be my best bargain this month!! I should make at least £150 all being well.
V chuffed!.
And of course, got my AC points, and because I paid in 2 separate transactions I also got 2 £5 skincare vouchers, and 2 £2 haircare vouchers.
Well done. Just a word of caution. Be careful about telling what you bought to sell on E-Bay. Sometimes people ca be a bit critical of people who scoop up a load of bargains and then sell them on E-Bay. I am not criticising you as I bought quite a few bargains in the 75% sale and sold on E-Bay ( although I did offer some on here too) I managed to get 5 putter sets yesterday in Oxford St , London ( a couple went through with no purchase!!) and gave 2 to my son and his flatmates, my daughter took one for her boyfriend's Dad and opened one to play with myself ( my daughter screamed with laughter- her 54 year old Mum in her PJ's putting around the sitting room) So I have one left which I will put in my present box. When I was going around the Oxford st store the putter sets seemed to reappear as soon as I took one. Used Self Service tills and the lovely little man even gave me a Wrinkly when I paid with points. Cold not find and Loreal mens sets anywhere. But my best bargain was the Lee Stafford hairdryer and staighteners set for £17.99!! It said £68.50 on the label but I got it price checked and the assistant was really surprised. My sister only wants the straighteners so I get to keep the hairdryer and case. Bargain.0 -

I wasn't too keen on any tbh and didn't buy any - found them all a bit too smelly to pinch your phrase!!! I am a chanel no5 girl and find it very hard to deviate.0 -
Thank you for all the wonderful tips that you have given regarding my Plucked Chicken eyebrows. Obviously we have a fair number of more mature ladies here, or, as I fondly think of us, Old Boots!!!
Why oh why did I keep plucking all those decades ago?Why didn't I listen to my Mum when I was 15 and she said "If you wear those ridiculous winklepickers, you'll have bunions when you're my age"?
Why did I ever say to my DD "don't worry darling, you'll never catch me wearing elasticated skirts or trousers"?
I am so easy to spot when you're all out shopping. I wear elasticated trousers, tucked into my boots that have to be wide fitting to accommodate my bunions, and my hat is pulled down to my nose to cover my missing eyebrows!!
But I'm always smiling!0 -

Snipped....
May I ask the more mature ladies which brand and type of cleansing wipes they find most effective? I quite like the Olay, and the L'Oreal for mature skin, and have now relegated my Roc ones (bought with the bluey) to bathroom cleaning duty!
Also (sorry about all these questions), I belong to the instantly recognisable 1960s Eyebrow Club.It was the fashion then to pluck, pluck and pluck again, and most of the time my fringe covers my sparse arches, but if I push it back, I reveal the unattractive "plucked chicken" look.
If I've got loads of time, or I'm going somewhere special, I try using a combination of light and dark brown pencils, and do little tiny feathery strokes, like you're advised to in all the magazines. Then I forget and rub my forehead, and look like Coco the Clown!!! :rotfl:
What do other peeps recommend, or should I just pull my hat down hard so that it covers my eyes? In Summer as well?
xx
Sandra I have tried them all (Courtesy of Mrand my final choice is the No7 Quick thinking 4 in 1 wipes. They do what they say on the tin. I also find one does the job, as apposed to 2 or 3 of the others. Well done on getting an invite letter from Boots too.:T :T Great for taking away on holiday too.
