    Hey Girls,

Dad has had the Hickman Line put in (he was scared $hitless about this) and he was actually fine with it. Thanks for all your kind wishes and prayers. Some more things happening next week and then it's recovery period. Keep praying and thanks again everyone.

I had to go to work today as the car was full when they took him to hospital. Boohiss. Anyway, I just had to flounce into Boots which I did. Saw loads of Lemsip and Beechams flu sachets on clearance. Got about £10 worth as we always have flu at ours. They had 10 x Lemsip sachets for £2 and 5 x Lemsip sachets for £0.80. Bargain or what. Normally these are really expensive! Keep your eyes peeled for them. Might as well stock up for winter now. I did that last year, but then everything was down to 50p! Oh well. The ACM machine had some more £1.50 off Men's Expert vouchers but I had to walk away from them as I already have a few. Saw some Charles Worthington products on clearance too, I think it was like Super Shiny or something like that.

I saw loads of Shilpa Shetty EDT at Quality Save/Home Bargains at £2.00 each. I know they are probably pants, but at that it was a bargain. Looked like a proper bottle of perfume or whatever it was. Could work out as a cheapo present for a great aunt or something like that, or even a Secret Santa present!

Mimi - do you have a home bargains near you? They have beechams hot lemon at 99p for ten sachets as a standard stock - we go through them too!

Hope your dad - and family - are doing well x x

I posted a couple of days ago about reduced Roc renewex microdermabrasion pads going through free with a wrinklie (mine were £3.91 - I think full price is around £6).

Just wanted to let you know that I think these are really good. They are a little 'mitt' with exfoliating on one side and smooth on the other . You use them on damp skin and they foam up. I used it after removing make up with no7 wipes. The amount of stuff the pad took off ! I thought face was clean!

Would recommend these (especially if you can get them for nothing!)

just back from my local. Only a fool would drive in this weather (I must be a fool:rotfl: ) we have had so much snow overnight in Luton. It does look really pretty though:D

I was so happy to find a naked set reduced to £2.21 I used the sun voucher, so it only cost me 21p:j (I love you mr b xxxxx:D ) lots of naked products under £1, I wish I'd bought more than 1 copy of the sun now:rolleyes:

I also found 2 HE reduced to 44p. This is the first time I've seen the 44p bottles. I grabbed them quick:D

The clearance shelves have reappeared. Lots of reduced DNAge creams, garniers, Roc sets, but overpriced at £14 odd, eucerin, sanctuary face cream, boots expert creams, mark hill conditioners, reduced to £2, I got 2 free with haircare vouchers:D

on normal shelves I found; boots coconut & almond oil soap, 25p, kids shampoo, 25p, nivea sensitive balance shower gel, 46p

there was probably more, but my memory is not as good as SKMS's or nine tails:o

    :hello: Hi Sally06,

    Lucky you!! Well done.
They must have reduced everything after I went in 9.30am!! I got a lift to town with my DH (he was on his way to the train station to get to work) and it took us nearly 2 hours to get into town with all the snow and when I went into Boots I saw a few things reduced but no reduced HE, mark hill and sanctuary etc.. It was dead quiet!! I did get a bar of the coconut and almond soap and the nivea shower gel and one of the naked sets too but silly me forgot to take my voucher with me (despite buying 2 papers yesterday) all that snow threw me and I rushed out and forgot it. Im glad you got one too and it worked with the voucher!!
In a way Im glad I couldnt get too much cause there was no buses running and I had a 2 mile walk back home (uphill too) in the snow and I had other shopping too and my arms and legs were killing me when I got home!! I may try again Monday (Im working tomorrow) cause I have some parcels to pick up from Next and couldnt manage them today (if the snow clears!!) so hopefully there will be some bargains left and the buses will be running for me to get home!! Good luck everyone else. I hope you get some great bargains at the weekend...
Take care.... especially if its snowing where you are!!!

  • Hi everyone
just thought I would go on .com to check if the ½ price electricals with free NO.7 GWP glitch still works, but no it doesn't unless the total after discounts is the full £18 .. glad I got my massager ( just under £10 ) with GWP last week, before the glitch was stopped .. don't know if it's been stopped in store yet. xxx

  • Hi all
Popped to Boots by Tesco this evening and impressed the lovely SA by not buying a single thing at full price! I got...
Girard New York Nights perfume set - £8.56
2 x L'Oreal Anti Fatigue set - £3.67 & £1.83 (pleased to finally find the right ones! last two though...)
Wilkinson Sword xtreme razor blades (8) - £1.64 (loads of these still)
2 x blue Butterfly photo frames - £0.82 each (these were in christmas range at £14, had been marked as reduced to £3.42, but presume 75% still came off this, so may go back for some more!!)
2 x Tropicana - £0.50 each (out of date soon)
    Total £18.40
Earned 540 points (Girard voucher from Love Notes booklet)

Off to Cheshire Oaks tomorrow - anything I should be looking out for in the Boots there??

Mimi - thinking of you, your dad and the rest of your family, and same goes for everyone else in similar situations xx
 I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?

Are you saying that you can get the gwp when you spend over £18 at original price of goods. So if it was £20 and reduced to £10 it should work? I wondered about that and asked a yound sa but he said it wouldn't. Hmm might have to give it a try as I really like the look of the new gwp.
There's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:
