The Olay gwps are all gone from city centre Reading Boots. Unless they find more and stick them out, of course, but I doubt it as they had a lot for weeks; they slowly dwindled and last week they were all gone.

I'm thinking of getting a present for a bloke friend of mine. Anyone know of anything posh that's on sale at Boots at the moment? I'm willing to spend up to £50 on it, but no more. Obviously, the cheaper the better. Any suggestions? Ta muchly.

Do you know if this guy likes cologne? Something from Calvin Klein or any other big name would be impressive if he did and some might even have a free gift. Or you might find a digital camera on sale, which would also be an impressive gift. Maybe even a digital photo frame if they had any marked down. I'd look around the camera section and cologne sections.

Otherwise, there isn't much in Boots. My husband doesn't care for skincare/cologne, etc. products, and for him it would be a real waste to spend the money on something that would sit on the shelf. If that's the case with your friend, I'd honestly assess what he may like and get it elsewhere. For instance, they have a lot of cufflinks in cute shapes at Debenhams for 12 quid and up and they come in very nice boxes; WHSmith has good laptop backpacks, and you'd even have money left over to buy a book as well; at HMV you could make him a "night in" basket with a dvd or two, some popcorn and candy, etc. Tell us what you settle on! :)

    Hi all,
Thanks to aMeLia'S~MuMMY, I have just returned from Aintree, with:

    6 x Gillette shaving foam @49p
2 x Dr Pepper zero, bogof in meal deal.
1 x 3 pck of creme eggs, meal deal.
    1 x sandwich, meal deal
and................................................3 x Gillette putting sets, yay!!!!

There was still quite a few left. They do scan at 0.00p but it is always best to have at least one item from the required purchase in your transaction. I chose to be legit, (reduced Gillette so kind of!!), because I needed 3 and didn`t want to arouse suspicion for any future Bootsers.

Thank you to original OP who posted this x , Angie100 x and aMeLia'S~MuMMY x for their info`. XXX

BTW: Just had a play with the putter, lovely set just DON`T over tighten the club as you may not get it back into the case!!!

went to aintree this morning at around 9.15 am, no sign of the putting sets, not even a sign to show that you got them with the new range. No reduced gillette shaving foam either, the only thing I got was the reduced girard set with the points voucher, I never seem to get any bargains in there at all ever. :-(
    I luv freebies
