It doesn't feel heavy as its a powder, and its really light on your skin, just gives you a nice look to your skin, rather than looking like you've been tangoed! lol If you are going to go for mineral foundation, def invest in a good Kabuki brush for it though, the one that comes with it is crap! I use Mac's 182 brush, pricey at £30, but Superdrug/Boots do a Cosmopolitan one that i was using before i got my Mac one, and i think it does the job just as good, and is only about £6!
HTH!
I bought the Ruby & Millie Kabuki brush during Boots' 3 for 2 before Christmas, and it works really well0 -
Thanks geordie_lass and littlepinkstars. Will go out tomoorow and look at powder mineral foundations.
Prob be snowed in now, at least I have a Boots I can walk to, or trudge to!now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -

. Just thought I would warn you guys!
I have not had a problem with sensitivity to other eye makeup before but a bit bothered now as it is quite sore. Can anyone recommend a good concealer that's for sensitive skin or that they have found to be gentle?
Maybelline recommend that you use the Rose Beige shade as a base then a lighter shade over the top to get the right amount of coverage. I thought this might just be a bit of hype to get me to buy two but it really does work. There's £1 off the concealer atm too.
Ditto with the brush concealer, I had the same problem with YSL Touche Eclat, you need to wash the brush regularly or it starts to smell of ammonia. Bacteria from your skin cause it to break down if you put the cap back on the unwashed brush, I find a solid concealer used with a cotton bud which you can throw away each time much better and the product will last longer too, won't "go off".0 -

I think I'll give the mineral one a try myself, would you say it would be good for more mature skin? I've found a lot of the mineral ranges have too many light reflecting particles in which seem to highlight my wrinkly bits :rotfl:0 -

Decided to pop into Boots at Fort Birmingham yesterday as I'd never been...was impressed when I walked in as it was huge.
However I ended up leaving a bit disappointed
- couldn't find any reduced/clearance shelves anywhere
- found the L'Oreal Mens Anti-Fatigue set, but it scanned at full price
- found the Gillette Putting set, but after the L'Oreal set scanned at full price on SS tills and I had to get SA to void it, I chickened out of scanning this as couldn't really remember what the offer was
- tried one of the new No7 handbag mirrors with the blinkie but wouldn't scan so SA voided that too
- After getting flustered on the SS tills, first time ever used them, I walked out without my AC! Luckily I realised as soon I was out of the shop so ran back in, and SA had put it in the tilll...:A
For anyone looking, there were about 5 or so of the Gillette putting sets, on a display at the end of the aisle where the normal Gillette products are.
Also they have the full range (I presume) of the new No7 accessories - lots of nice things, but agree with OP's that they have put prices up...
Oh and then to finish off my eventful trip, it took me 55 minutes to get out of the car park!!!
Sounds like an unpleasant experience. Especially a 55 min wait in a car parking lot! Tough luck0 -
littlepinkstars44 wrote: »as its my first "Bootsing" time would i be best to take my mums AD too, as i've heard that the ADM only gives certain offers to certain people, my mum hasn't used her card in years...lol! She prob has points on it too!
Phew! It's taken AGES to catch up! Yes, take your Mum's card. And in reply to the person, many pages back who said:
Shop 4:
5 Pack Tights - £4.50
Used 100 points ACM voucher (came from Mum's account, mine only gave me a 50 points voucher)
Total to pay - £4.50 (received 100 points)
.... I have used two acm vouchers on one product before now, if bar codes are different, so you probably could have used both your Mum's voucher and yours on the tights.
Someone asked about putting sets in Manchester. I saw some in the Trafford Centre on Thursday, but no reduced Gillette.
And it is snowing here...0
