Skintckick, Agree with PP, I was made redundant last year along with pretty much everyone in my division. It was a relief in the end as we'd had months, in fact more like years, of uncertainty hanging over us. Things were a bit different for me as I was on maternity leave anyway and haven't started work again yet but everyone else I know who was in the same boat (and some had worked at the company for years), have moved on to better jobs, or decided to change careers to do something they've always wanted e.g. teaching, or move to Australia etc etc. There will be a light at the end of the tunnel, wish you well.

55p for a Yorkie and a lollipop for me today.
  • skintchick - Sorry to here your news - If it's any help both my husband and I got made redundant within a month of each other last year and I felt like the world was ending. We both found new better jobs and in my case with much less stress so just keep your chin up - and rest assured that something will always come along.
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

Do we get a pic at all? Just to make sure it suits you of course! ;) :rotfl:

Skintchick, sorry to hear that! You know where we are if you need us! :)

I've so far spent £6 on having me barnet cut, but need to get petrol, b'day card, razor blades (short hair and big beard ain't a good look :D ), shower gel and something else that I can't remeber now!
  • Have managed to hang onto my cash so far and not spent anything, but will probably need petrol tomorrow. Am saving loads this month due to strict budgeting and not wasting my money on newspapers, chocolate bars, etc.

I've spent £10 on top up card, 70p on Tesco sandwich bags though I spent ages tryng to decide whether to get value ones at 49p. In the end I thought I'd go mad and spend the extra 21p. Oh, and I filled my car up with petrol so another £20.83p there.
Never mind I shouldn't need to buy anything else this week.

  • Skintchick - I am sorry about your news. At least you had been saving your cash just in case! Hope you get a better and more wonderful job. :grouphug:

I've spend 14p on a banana, and £1.29 on a multi pack of 18 bags of Hula Hoops for my work lunches! That's 7.2p per bag (better than 30p a bag when sold separately). Providing I only go over my one bag a day rule a few times, they should last me 3 weeks.

Tea is from the extra large chicken I roasted last night for tea, which also provided mine and OH lunches today, so shouldn't need to buy anything else.
