SC - really sorry to hear about your news.
Aside from my life assurance policy going out by dd from b/a, I'm on zero spending today.0 -
yikes skintchick! Sorry to hear that. I hope they did it all by the book. Mum was made redundant before Christmas but they didn't quite do things right. Cost her £250 at the solicitors to find out, and they then told her would cost £7000 to take them to tribunal. That'd be more than her redundancy payment. GRRRRR.
Good luck with your saving ... hope you find a fab job paying LOTSOfficial DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 002 :rotfl:0 -

Hi everyone,
I've not spent any cash - but:-
Spent £65 paying off my Mint card (not much more than minimum payment but all I can afford at the moment - will add more if ebay sales end successfully!)
Spent £25 paying back mum for dad's birthday present (last time anyone gets an expensive pressie - Granny is getting free 2006 calendar that came with yesterday's Scotland on Sunday!)
Spent £30 paying back mum and dad's loan.
Really want sushi like colleague is eating, but at £5.50 a pop, I think I'll pass.
SS xMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
Bank of Scotland = £2,782.830 -
spent nothing, should keep it that way. In fact hope to spend very little all week (except overpayments to credit cards).
Skintchick, really bad news on the redundancy. Fairylights: my Mum got seen off out of her redundancy, but she contacted ACAS to help negotiate with her ex employers and got her payout in the end without having to go to court.Debt Oct 2005: £32,692.94
Current debt: £14,000.00
Debt free date: June 20080 -

Dont worry you'll be fine, everything happens for a reason.
Now you can focus on what you'd like to do now, what sort of job would you like?

Tesco points --- £100 worth £400 in deals for holiday! :j :T

Just been working out my finances for the month, its 4 weeks til payday tomorrow, and I have £196.33 to last me (so just under £50 a week). Just a bit gutted as I thought I had about £50 more than that..
Mind you, spent a bit at the weekend (visiting parents), and they kindly bought me my backpack for travelling (got 10% off too courtesey of the YHA discount), so that was so nice of them, but I ended up buying more things for travelling (fleece, sleeping bag, linen trousers, ahem, a bikini!!) - but I figure I would have needed these anyway :0)
Just had a missed call from one of the estate agents that I sent my CV to on Friday about weekend work - called them back but the guy had gone home, so lets just hope that it was him calling to say they had a vacancy - yippee!!
A few things sitting on my credit card at the moment, but will be paying this off with my savings once I have received the statement..
Here's to a cheap MS month :0)
