I started last March or April and didn't win anything for about 2 or 3 months then I got my first win, a pair of cinema tickets! Since then I've had various wins from £250 worth of clothes right down to cds. Some months nothing and some months a few wins (had 5 so far this year, YAY!). Don't give up, you could've already won, I received one of my wins a few months after the comp ended! I usually do all the comps ending the next day then if I have time I'll do some of the new ones. Not looking forward to the comps ending 31st Jan, about 50 pages of them already!! Better make a start...... Good luck.0

Oh you are all lovely, thank you! I was a bit worried I'd get replies saying "Stop moaning"!! Okay, you've spurred me on again!!
I only enter comps where I'd like to win the prize (iyswim!!) but do enter lots of comps that have "little" prizes - you know, chocolate, a book, that sort of thing - I don't just do the ones that are holidays and cash!
Anyway, right - I will carry on - I've been comping for a few months I would think, but must admit that December wasn't good because I didn't have the time. Perhaps I'm not going to win anything much then get a biggie!! (Well you can always dream!!)
Thanks all xx0 -
My 2 biggest prizes were won outwith this site - one at Edinburgh Airport and the other on the Freeview website! I do about 30 or so day on here since May or thereabouts and have won a 2-for-1 dining card (which I won't use as I'm single and skint!), a Calzaghe DVD and some CDs (which I'm still waiting for!)
I too get despondent as I think, "Is it really worth 10 hours or so a week to win a DVD or CD every 6 months?" but then again, I read the winners list and recognise that people are winning the comps that I've entered on here. So, anytime I feel like giving up, I look at the winners thread and also remember how great it was in Beverly Hills and it helps me keep going!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -
Have been comping since March last year and not won a thing but I'll keep going as everyone's got to win something eventually!Sealed Pot Challenge Member 1216 -

Or am I possibly the unluckiest person alive in competitions?!! I do about 30 per day and have NEVER won ANYTHING from the links on here.
I'm not moaning (well, trying not to!!), just get a bit despondent sometimes and wondered if I was the ONLY person out there who has never won!!
I do between 50-100 a day and have won a bottle opener:rolleyes:!
Starting to think i'm unlucky too but i'm gonna keep going!:j2013 wins: Valentine's book giveaway:T0 -
I've won one competition in my life when i was about 7, it was a thomas the tank engine colouring competition and the dog ate my prizes before i'd even seen them :-(
God know's why i still enter things, that seemed to the big neon flashing sign of how unlucky i am lol!!

You might have even have already won something but it's not turned up yet.
I've had prizes arrive that had an end date of up to 2 months prior to me receiving them and they just arrived out of the blue.
I've been comping on and off for about 18 months and win mainly what people would call small prizes, but it's saved me a fortune in moisturiser and mascara so i'm not complaining.
I used to enter everything, thinking that the more I entered the greater the odds that I would win something but for me that was very time consuming and I'd win prizes that I would then just give away. Now I enter for what I would like to win, things I need or things that if I did win would save me cash from the household fund and I find it's cut the time I spend down considerably. Bottom line is, you have to enjoy doing it or it just becomes another chore and there's enough of those already.
Good luck. You may find that now you've mentioned you've not won that a prize will turn up. I've seen that happen loads of times.

I never thought I was very lucky until I started comping. When I joined the win £2008 in 2008 club I never imagined I actually would! Some times I don't win anything for a while, and then I get a few wins in the same week. I do about 100 comps a day, maybe more, and I only enter for things I or family and friends would like. I challenged myself to win a xmas prezzie for everyone, and I did!
Keep comping, I've seen people have fabulous first wins, you never know it could be you! Look on it as a fun hobby, and enjoy interacting with other compers. You will win something, just keep trying
2008 wins £4405 2009 wins £7194 2010 wins £9615
Best wins ever: Laptop, £1000 John Lewis vouchers, PS3, Xbox 360 iPad Mini :beer:0
