Hi, I live in London and in a parking permit zone. I have a parking permit but it fell off the windscreen and onto the floor and got a ticket for it. Not a problem I thought, just send a copy of my permit with a letter asking why I received the pcn (I didn't state the permit had fallen off the windscreen) and all will be…

As Ealing - don't bother with the PCN if one served directly on the car. it will be ok.
just check it says 'Code 12' or maybe '16'.

Much better - pics of signage and the road markings from a wide and high angle - particularly the ends of the bay.
