  • I've done pretty similar to above before, usually add frozen peas and sweetcorn, boil up some potatoes and swede to mash together to go on top and serve with carrots and brocolli.

  • Thank you both, that sounds much nicer than having them on their own! I have some salmon that's been in the freezer for ages, I might add that to them too.

Hard boiled eggs quartered into the sauce are nice too.
  • Peas are good added too.
  • Thank you!

... I really wouldn't have thought of eggs.
  • Prawns are nice, too, and I like cornichons and capers ;)

I'll add this to the main fish pie thread to give you more ideas.

oo thanks, I didn't know this was here :D
  • The fish pie was a big success - thank you everyone!

I used the cod in parsley sauce, flaked with a couple of salmon pieces and a smoked peppered mackeral I had gathering ice at the bottom of the freezer. Added some sweetcorn and peas, bit of pepper, topped with mash and cheese. :T

    Yum.

I made 4 fish pies on Tuesday night - we had one last night and the other 3 are in the chest freezer for times when I can't be bothered cooking!

I had salmon, cod loin and prawns (all in the RTC section!) in mine, along with some peas and hardboiled eggs, a white sauce, topped with creamy mash.

    Real comfort food.....

    Hi everyone
Have just seen that Sainsburys advert again with that scrummy looking fish pie on it. The one that has salmon in it.
Does anyone have a receipe that I could use to get the same sort of results?
Nothing too complicated please like having to make your own white sauce!
Thanks as ever to you all
