Sorry I've not updated earlier ... alas, like other online friends - I've also got "background stuff" going on which needs dealing with and is quite draining at times.

Anyways .... I decided to round up some of the figures to the nearest realistic figure, purely so that I can have something figurewise to start working on.

So the new interim SOA is now finally updated in post #2 and the new "plot" is also now updated in post #3 :cool:

On the downside ...
I've got a court appointment within the next couple of weeks, and I'm just praying that they'll vote in my favour with a time extension. That would give me a bit of breathing space to get the rest in place and finalised.

On the upside...
I've been offered a permanent extra "days" work per week at my new job, (I say "day" but I am on part time days / hours) which I've accepted. This will add an extra £100 ish a month to my wages, so I'm very thankful for it :T
It's not yet included in the SOA, until I start it next month ...... So I will probably leave it and do all the final tweaks at the beginning of the new year - everything else being equal - and hopefully I may be able to add Mr GA's DLA back into the equation & if I'm very lucky, some additional benefit money. :cool:

Meanwhile, my plot will start with what I've got! Then anything else is an extra bonus

Ugggh,…

Had a letter from the DWP on Friday re Mr GA’s DLA renewal, and it seems that despite the original condition that he was awarded DLA for – not having improved at all since it was awarded to him …. To the extent that his Consultant has now said there is no further point in him seeing him, as he is as good as he’s going to get … AND despite the fact that he now has additional problems due to the Diabetes - which happens to be a degenerative disease, so he’s only ever going to get worse …. They have made the decision that he no longer warrants DLA.

I am so cross with this, as they say it’s based on the claim form and a letter from his GP – who hasn’t actually seen him regarding his actual illnesses for some time (except to check his meds) Yet the claim form is identical to the last one where it refers to his original condition, and then has the extra information regarding the diabetes added to the sections where necessary.

I just can not understand how they can come to that conclusion. They haven’t even waited for the Consultant letter / report that they told us they had written for. So, I telephoned them on Friday, and they did a “Telephone Appeal” type thing and they said they will put it back through for a re-evaluation and have also put a note on regarding the Consultant info thing. We will now have to wait to hear what they say on the re-evaluation. If they come back still saying he’s not due, we apparently then have the right to send in a written “appeal”, which will then be looked into again by a panel or something.

On a upbeat note …. I had this very mad urge on Friday to buy a Euro lottery ticket … I’ve never ever bought one before …. And I won £48 !!!
That is just amazing for me. So that money is going straight into my “mortgage finance doggybank” (I have a doggybank not a piggybank!) together with a £2 coin I picked up today (my first one for weeeeeeeeeeeeks I might add!) which brings me to a nice round £50 in there. :j
That’s £50 already in my first £250 chunk !!!! :T
