Hi all,
Please could someone tell me how much a text message delivery notification message costs on Orange? Tariff is Dolphin 15 if it makes a difference. Could you also tell me where you got the information from please?

Please don't tell me to ring Orange and ask or look on their website, i'm trying to find out something very specific and it's you lovely people that can help ;)

Thank you in advance for your help

Morty

Thank you. Any idea where they publish the information please? It isn't in the T&C and the tariff leaflet they refer to IN the T&C is nowhere to be found....

  • 1p I was told when querying a rather large bill of my daughter's when she was convinced she hadn't gone over her minutes or texts. She hadn't in fact but had sent more than 3,000 text all with a 1p charge :(

excellent thankyou edinburghlass, did she have it notified any other time and did you manage to get the charge refunded?

Did you ACTUALLY see the piece of paper or web page where Orange had the figure written down? Sorry for all the questions, i'm looking for a precedent that may have been set by Orange really.

I am querying a much smaller bill at the moment. Orange are insisting that the 1p charge is in the T&C but i'm convinced its not.

Surely they can't be allowed to charge if they don't notify of the charge first? You don't get told when you set the notifications up. Orange are saying that they notify you when you take the contract out, in the T&C's.

If anyone can find this charge written down I am happy to stand corrected, as ever.

The SMS delivery receipt charge was introduced when the animal tariffs were announced nearly three years ago on these tariffs, not charged on older plans. Search for SMS delivery receipts in the animal plans Terms & Conditions here.

    not 0.009p, it's £0.009 ex-VAT (or 1p inc. VAT)
