Hey - Phones4U have just bought out my O2 contract (I only have 4 months left on mine, but worth seeing if they'll do it) no harm in asking!!
O2 didn't match the deal offered by Phones4U/Orange so I've gone for the offer, I've basically made/saved about £150 on the deal and getting a pretty phone too yay.
Worth contacting O2 to see if you can reduce your tariff, I'm not sure how long your have to have been on contract to do that (usually9-12 months I think) but you can reduce by one tariff a month. (I'm doing this on mine til it finishes)0 -
If he had his contract for "years", then he was given a retention deal of some sort to keep him.
This thread concerns customers still in the (binding) minimum period of their contracts. The boot is on the other foot, as they cannot just leave!
Well Quentin, seems like you don't try hard to get the deals then. I fyou don't ask you won't get, ASSUME only makes an |!!! out of U and ME.0 -
Eh?????
Did you read why he got a good offer, whereas those still in the early part of a contract cannot?
And I never used the word "assume" did I?0 -
You didn't have to Quentin, but the guy found out that he was not financially bound to the contract by asking around so he can just 'obviously leave'0
-
Which "guy"? You posted about your "hubby":My hubby has been with O2 for years on a contract
If your contract has run years you can leave with 30 days notice.0 -
god what have I started, no need to get so snappy about this everyone!0

To get back on topic...
Has anyone had any experience of phoning o2 to cancel their contract and pay however many months they have left - and had o2 offer a new contract to keep them? I know they only upgrade in the last month but my OH's contract is up in April and he would love an early upgrade...I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0 -
Hiya,
O2 have offered me a new deal 4 months early (not as good as my other one though, so still cancelling), always worth giving it a go!0
