Isn't their new WebSaver 1 tariff guaranteed to be at least 10% lower than their standard tariff? They probably hoping for CE6 users to jump to WS1, but with it's lock in period, i'll need to give it some thought.

Mind you, i think you're only locked in til September, which is about the time the cold weather starts.

There is a web saver but it is more expensive for electric than Click6, so with the lock in and the fact that the 10% reductions for gas does not kick in until mid Feb, I will have to have think. needs somebody good with figures to work out if there is a saving.

I know what you mean, LOL. It annoys me - ppl who sign up for fixed rate gas/electric/mortgages/whatever - who expect prices to come down in their favour, but stick when they're on the up.

seems CE6 is reducing as well - from the BG site - http://www.britishgas.co.uk/gaspricedecrease/tariffs.html

    Click Energy 6

The good news is from 19th February 2009 you will be paying less for your gas. As a Click Energy 6 customer this reduction means you'll be saving an average £137* versus our standard tariff prices.
    * Based on average annual consumption of 20,500kWh for gas and 3,300 kWh for single rate electricity, paying for Monthly Direct Debit, averaged across all regions, rounded and including VAT. Prices as at 19th February 2009.

But as far as I can see they do not actually say by how much the online tariffs are reducing.

Good point. It does state £137 cheaper than standard tariff, but not how much cheaper than the prices we're paying on the CE6 tarif currently.

yes its not clear - they say that WS1 will be 10% cheaper than standard, and therefore will presumably drop by 10%. But the CE reductions are undefined - just CE6 on average £137pa less. My guess would be its less than 10%.
