Don't worry one of Essex's finest DS Dovaston is monitoring this thread so will have read your post, he will no doubt appreciate you contacting him with your details to assist him.

How nice is it to see a police officer working so proactively and injecting some sense of humour as demonstrated by his posts under No1, keep up the good work fella

If [Name removed by Forum Team] wants his phone back from you he just needs to pay the postage, it can't be that hard for him although he no doubt has something in his T&Cs about you being responsible for the postage when he makes a mistake.

To cut a very long story short the overcharged, incorrect and cancelled mobile phone was eventually delivered to my address. GC's PC's still refused to refund the money insisting I return the phone and pay for the postage which would be refunded, doh I don't think so going off their track record! I instead went for a chargeback and recently got a full refund.

I have tonight had a message left on my mobile phone, no e-mail or any other type of correspondence, with a male voice from GC's PC's stating that I need to contact them ASAP and pay them (if I heard right) £800 or the debt collectors will be calling at my door on Friday. Whether that is Friday 6th March or next week I do not know ??

I have made it clear to them if they supply the postage I will return the phone but nothing is simple with GC's PC's!

I would be interested if anyone has also had this interesting development and threat?

............... but as GC's PC's have said all along they have done nothing wrong and it is the customer that is at fault!

Friday may end up an interesting day for me so watch this space!confused.gifrolleyes.gif

Watch they don't charge your card again, since they will still have details from your original purchase.

This child never seems to be able to do anything right!

You may wish to keep a copy of that message, as evidence of their ongoing unreasonable and aggressive behavior.

Just for the record the only thing that you need to do is keep phone safe and available for collection at your convince, as prescribed in the SOGA That assuming that this phone was not as described and rejected, as it most likely will have been if you have already received a refund.

I agree, but if they do this you would likely get the money back and I guess that this would be fraud. - I would say the not even that child would be so foolish ?

If this you get a further call I would also consider making a complain to the police about harassment.
  • Hello there , i have been following this thread for the past month or so , and i like many other have had money taken off me for goods not received , Back on january 27th i placed an order for a Navman ICN 530 £99 (slightly below average price but not unbelievably cheap) waited for the delivery time to elapse and still have not received my goods.

I found GC's PCS on google shopping , for some reason i thought it would be reputable (obviously not). I had only became suspicious when the site no longer existed , so i typed in a basic search in good and found this thread and a few others.

I reported it to my credit card company , and they had indeed charged the £99 to my account , I informed them of what i had found out and they gave me back my money within a few days (fraud protected card) Had to fill in a form with a few basic questions and thats all i have heard from them in a few weeks.

Just thought i would share my "experience"

    Thanks , San.
