vista is awful, nothing you can do can say that this is great, windows vista rules, because there are so many issues with vista!

Windows 2000 was the first decent issue of Windows.
And Vista beats XP hands-down.
All of the others are rubbish.0 -
Some people says that if you play a Windows Vista install DVD backwards you will hear demon voices commanding you to worship Satan. But that's nothing. If you play it forward it will install Windows Vista

I think Vista is far better and more stable than XP, I've been running it for over 6 months and have yet to have a BSOD which was quite common in XP. Everyone has their opinions and preferences but cant see the problem with Vista myself.
I used windows 7 for about a week before rolling back to Vista, 7 looks like it is going to be a very good OS with some nice touches but found the performance sluggish which I assume is down to it being unfinished.
From what I've read Windows 7 is expected in Q4 this year so it might be worth waiting to upgrade if you havent already0 -

Actually, Windows ME introduced a lot of the features that have made Windows as popular as it is. You've left Windows NT out of your list too..0 -
You know it's weird, even now after the 2 and a half years I've been using Vista without a single, solitary error/problem or crash (which I can't say for XP - even the majority of pc problems on this forum are with people using XP ), I genuinely wonder just how many people who are saying Vista is crap are actually using Vista or have even tried?
Or just jumping on the latest "let's slag it off bandwagon"
The "Vista is crap" rentamob crowd are one for the PICNIC files.
As for the OP's post, looks a good deal just a pity I can't see a 64 bit version of Ultimate (using Home Premium now) with the hard drive, only the 32 bit or I'd have snapped it up too.0 -
is it really that close to release.jamalfatty wrote: »I think Vista is far better and more stable than XP, I've been running it for over 6 months and have yet to have a BSOD which was quite common in XP. Everyone has their opinions and preferences but cant see the problem with Vista myself.

they are going pretty fast, but why the reason for the 64bit, as my sons pc is running great with 8gbs of memory on the 32bit.danmanchester wrote: »You know it's weird, even now after the 2 and a half years I've been using Vista without a single, solitary error/problem or crash (which I can't say for XP - even the majority of pc problems on this forum are with people using XP ), I genuinely wonder just how many people who are saying Vista is crap are actually using Vista or have even tried?

Your sons PC is not proof of that I'm afraid, you have just let yourself believe it.0 -
