Even with the change to the t&cs about it only been from Scotland, the dates have still changed.

I've just got a reply from Lauren, this I found interesting, in reply to what I said about us just getting whatever was left over

As we gave away 10,000 free return flights I can assure you that the short delay in winners emails to Hotmail addresses will not make a difference as to whether the flights you want are available. There is plenty of availability out there and currently only 1200 people have requested their flights but obviously it depends on the destination you want and the dates you have chosen.

They have changed. Since I put my request in there is more of May blacked out. It starts at the 14th and I didn't before.. and I don't believe that statement for one minute....why would so many people be having trouble getting flights??

Tbh, I've found the lady who has been emailing me very helpful, but I'm not too sure whether thats true either.

There's less of July available now, I know that for sure, I only really looked at June/July and September and there's also about 5 days less available in September. It's not even like there's an excuse for it, I understand the Scottish school holidays are different, but all kids even in the UK are back by 2nd September, so why can't the flights be used from then?

And why decide to black out from the 14th may when it was the 20th before?!?!

They know what they're doing, they're not daft. They know the majority of people are going to want to go May/June/July, by reducing the amount of dates in these months that the flights can be used they know less people are going to use their flights, and maybe end up still using them to book flights on these dates. I doubt they care what we think, they've got great publicity out of this.

They are taking note of checking winners who applied for their flights before the change to use the old dates on the ts and cs to make it fair. If your flights are rejected it is likely to be due to availability.

How long are people having to wait between applying and being accepted/rejected?

I hope I haven't ballsed it up by saying that I wanted my infant daughter to travel with me (forgot to put her name in the comments box) - I was assuming that because I would have to pay a supplement they would have to phone for that info....?

hey-ho, the wait continues (to be fair, I did email and was replied to saying that it could take up to 3 weeks)

4 days! I wish! Still waiting from 4 Feb - told I have to wait until 21 days are up before they will even look into it! Just waiting for them to say they can't find any record ..................
