Just checked on my supermarket and the 500g bum juice:rotfl: is showing as £4.98 at asda sainsburys ocado and £4.74 at tesco!! maybe thats just local to me though. Cant eat it myself and must admit reading about a marmite and banana sandwich made me swear out loud.
Yes prices are going up and in general I think tescos are 1st to put prices up and it often seems like a big increase too.
bum juice he he :rotfl:Booo!!!0 -

Surely the question to ask is WHY are prices going up? Have the supermarkets adopted the approach of the energy industry and decided to live in some parallel universe where there is no global recession and oil is still $147 per barrel?

I Love Marmite but only on bread or crackers but for any adventurous Marmite eaters, These might be handy:

Back on topic, I was quite disappointed when Morrisons put the the price of the 250g Jar of Marmite up in price to about £2.50 from just over £2.00. I soon found out though that all supermarkets now appear to have done the same.
The Problem with Marmite though is that there is no real alternative, there are a couple of supermarket brands and Vegemite but for want off a better word, both these are quite disgusting. As such, both the Supermarkets & Marmite know that (marmite loving) customers will pay a premium for the product.0 -

I used to think this as ones I had in the past were rubbish but we got the morrisons own one last time and it's almost the same. Give it a go, if you disagree it's only a couple of quid lost but if you agree you'll save money :T0 -

You were checking the forum in public??? Was this on your mobile? If so, you are seriously addicted!!!:rotfl:I like my money right where I can see it - hanging in my closet.;)0 -
On price increases I have avoided Tesco's iceberg lettuces for weeks at £ 1.12 or similar - today a full size cucmber £ 1.20 something and they were 2/3rds of the size of the piddly ones in there last week!! No wonder there was a couple of whole crates left at 5.30 pm. I shall keep it on my list until I visit Morrison's or Aldi. Can't resist a bargain!!0
