Marmite - Don't buy it at Tesco's

Tesco's have put their 500 gram jar of Marmite up from £3.75 to £4.89  , yet it is still at £3.75 in Morrisons and £3.78 in Asda.
It's been at this price for around a year so perhaps a price rise is on the cards but £1.14 in one go is extreme. "Every Little Helps" says the slogan, yes, in this case boosting Tesco profits!!.

The price is most probably going up so next week they can reduce it back down to the same price it was and tell us its "a special offer" thinking we will fall for the con, just like they do with everything else!if i had known then what i know now0

Even if they had increased the price by pence at a time, the price would still have ended up this expensive, they just chose to do it in one lump rather than over time. When something like this happens it is usually because they have kept the price artificially low for a long time, but the time comes when they have no choice but to jump the price. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0 -
