Buffy, have you tried eating cous cous?? I find it great for filling up on and it doesn't bloat me like bread, pasta does.
Make some granola or cereal bars to munch on throughout the day. You can do it im sure
cheers Sally, I tried cous cous but don't really like much, but maybe that was cos it was the packet stuff.
I was watching the One Show (like normal!!) they were doing abit about come backs (of politicians) and Jeffery Archer (ok not the font of all knowledge ordinally) basically reminded me of some thing I have always believed that if you want some thing badly enough you WILL get it. (if it is within your power to change it obviously)
Now I know that sounds trite and a bit lame but I do really think that - tell it to the kids all the time.
I just wish I knew why I want this life of headaches stress poor sleep etc when probably a great deal of it is caused by my diet, and the rest my laziness.
hmmm. too much thinking whilst trying to mark an evaluation.

Thanks for the linkys guys. DS has been 'playing' on the BBC bitesize site for the last hour or so - revising without even realising it
He's got Maths tomorrow, and he doesnt seem too bad at that, and then science on Friday which he enjoys. Yesterdays English seems to have been his nightmare day, and we can work on that. We can only really improve on 4 out of 20 spellings correct, cant we
Well done on the weight loss Sammy :T

Now I was going to join Tesco's diets but that isn't going to be very moneysaving.
I wonder if I could get the library.
maybe after dinner out friday night I could detox for the weekend(mind you me without sugar not good). then perhaps weight watchers? for real getting up early eating breakfast and then eating every two hours - cos I get so hungry. cereal at break, Lunch is a problem. don't like carbs cos I get stuffed and tired. need some thing like meat(!) and vegetables. perhaps chicken and salad, or maybe tuna and salad.
and yes I am typing out loud.
please feel free to give opinions.
(and the running walking thing has been a disaster btw)
xxx
why has the running walking thing been a disaster buffy...I am determined to get your running..:rotfl:
On a different thread...I think its in the health and beauty corner of MSE there is a from 'couch potato to 5k' thread. Its good and there are podcasts that you can download to your ipod and there is music and the trainer tells you when to walk and when to run....do you want to try it....Quality is doing something right when no one is looking - Henry Ford

i've slept like a log the last few days, probably down to cutting out the junk and the carbonated drinks... felt like carp the first few days but you do adjust...I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

I am considering talking about changing my hours but I also know that my manager has big plans to develop my role - sadly these plans do nothing for more except bore me so that's not enough to up my enthusiasm!
Sammy I loved the first half of my maternity leave but as Elliot got bigger I found it a struggle just watching him crawl around all day- I don't want to belittle it because it was also a very lovely time but they don't give you much back at that age - now he is interacting much more I think I might enjoy it...
I get paid on Friday, so I am going to shove my wages into savings, and the same next month, and if we don't miss it - then I'll take the plunge. Also gives me time to use up some holiday so I can get some house jobs done while we're still paying for nursery. So it would be April probably before I leave which would suit me with the weather etc.
Bunny I think TA posts will pay around £7/8 an hour - certainly in my local authority but being close to London might make it higher here... (?)
Right I am off as my laptop battery is about to die, might do some reading and have an early night... later alligators x0 -

(the walking and running is a disaster cos my Mum's reaction is "but its dark outside and cold! I will worry! etc etc. I really need to put my foot down a bit its too easy to let things carry on as they are!)
