Hi again guys,
I have had my car insurance renewal quote and AA cover renewal quote,
After a phone call to each I managed to get £20 off the AA cover and £50 off the car insurance + free legal cover!
I would never have haggled like that before joining MSE :j

SM I have a question - when did the thread start and what was the motivation behind doing it - well apart from the obvious small steps motivation things anything else???
Just wondered - be nice to know the history of it all - what inspired you to make our lives so much more productive and keep us steadily on our road.
Thought about this lots lately having done another MSE budget online. When I first started on this site (recommended by a chum) I was so in the red it was unreal.
I posted a SOA and gots lots of help - now looking at that SOA and my new one (which I haven't posted - yet) its like night and day. I am about to be brave and look at my total debt again and see how much its gone down by.
Now also about to tackle things like my credit rating etc and its really all help to you guys - honest injun. I even have kinda .....savings (??? me I know) and I have three piggie banks on the go (holiday, christmas and general unexpected things). I am budgeting for my utilities (i never use to) and I know mainly how much is in the bank. Not been overdrawn (well over my limit) for about (well) quite a while.
And I am ALMOST (lets not get carried away) on top of my lack of sense with food shopping. Whilst I think I spent 200 a month previously - it was nearer 400 reallly. So now I am really looking at my habits and tellinng myself off!!
So as always thanks for the thread - just got to wondering how it all started??xxx:)Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
