Tuesday 20/1/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

:DWhen we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:
  • check online banking -
  • update spreadsheets
  • move money to savings
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • storecupbpard meals
  • laundry hokey cokey for OH
  • reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
  • do one thing just for fun -
  • do something nice for someone else
  • sparkle
Good morning peeps:D Another boring day ahead at work today= paperwork day today. Did lots of the qype reviews last night and managed my quota for the virgin comp thingy so just wait and see now if I manage to get a voucher next month:confused:
Historic day today with the inauguration of Obama later.

Have a good day everyone, catch up with you all later.
Reduce,re-use, recycle.

Well reminded I will apply for my boots card online today - stupidly embargoed boots for a long time as they annoyed me (they stopped delivering nappies to the wee island I use to live on) as this is about 9 years ago now I guess I can safely stop my silly grudge and take an advantage card. The lady convinced me to take one when I did my sales shopping last week.

I know, i know - they just annoyed me by stopping the service - not that I hold a grudge or anything! lol

I haven't got a Tesco Clubcard at the mo, for similar reasons :rotfl: :rotfl: I know I'm being childish :D

    Morning All :hello:
I've been de-cluttering, and it makes me feel soooo good :D Yesterday I could even wear novelty socks (Betty Boop) instead of grey woolly because I had cleaned out my sock drawer (Sundays declutter) and I found them at the back :D I'm doing a lttle something everyday. Took an old cupboard to the tip on the way to work this morning. It'd been annoying me for months on the patio, I emptied it and it's gone :D

    So today I shall/have:
    • brought in lunch and a snack
    • charged phone at work
    • found 10p on a machine at the gym last night :j :rotfl:
    • do on-line banking
    • make brussel sprout soup (I've found a recipe which apparently tastes good  ) to use up old-ish sprouts.
    • NSD (apart from my budgeted 20p at drama tonight). :D -I'm refusing to order OH a new book from Amazon, even though I have a £5 voucher because I don't want to ruin my NSD run, and I want to beat him :D (he did 4 last week, we drew)
    • supper from the fridge tonight, whatever needs using up.
    • Do my scratchcard.
Lodger has partially moved in. :D
  • My day is going to consist of painting the hall and nothing else! Paint was bought yesterday so I don't even have to go out for it!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!
