Yes its the light mantis range... If you use the "make an offer" part of ebay to put in an offer around 10% lower it is instantly accepted and works out slightly less than the website with 5% off I believe... But you may want to check item by item as not everything is priced the same across their site and ebay.

I took the plunge and ordered some bedroom furniture recently. 8% Quidco and 5% discount code worked out slightly cheaper on the Oakfurnitureland website than through the Ebay site. It's not arrived yet as the lead time on one of the items is about 6 weeks but that gives me more time to clear some space for it! One problem though is that I was told that the delivery driver will be by himself and is there someone that can help - the short answer to that is no! Seems pretty stupid to deliver furniture then expect you to get it out of the van yourself... :cool:

Hmm...They have always used DSV transport for mine (ive had 6 seperate deliveries) and its always a large lorry with 2 man crew....

Thought I'd let you know that I received a promotional email from oak furniture land saying that they now have a 3 for 2 offer on their clearance ranges.

Thought it may be of interest, as I've checked a couple of items and they don't seem to be on ebay.

Just wondering if anyone has bought the Baku range (Bali on ebay). It's dark which is nice but I think it might show scratches etc easily?

My friend has a couple of bits from the Mantis range and as it is light (she has the light version) it looks more forgiving.

Hubby has just unpacked my Eden TV Cabinet and it is broken!

The internal supports are broken and the drawers were not secured within the unit and are scuffed to hell.

He has just rung them now and they have said we will have to email.

I am not a happy bunny :-(

Can anyone give me some advice please? This is the reply that I have received to my email from Oak Furniture Land which basically tells me that I have no rights and to !!!! off:

"I'm sorry to hear that you've received imperfect furniture.
This item is from a discontinued range and as such is being sold as seconds. These items have been excessively handled so may have knocks, scratches or other defects due to being over handled. The sale price takes this into consideration."

I can accept that these seconds items might have minor cosmetic blemishes but my TV unit is extensively damaged

Does anyone know where I stand legally on this?

Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Does the site say the clearance items are excluded from the no quibble money back guarantee? If not, send it back..
