My Tesco is being VERY annoying now, not to mention inconsistent.

I am having to be very careful about who I choose to redeem my coupons as it seems that the day supervisors are being awkward now.

Last night I was told, no coupons could be redeemed unless you bought the product and they showed me a team briefing sheet saying that.

Today I was told I could redeem one complementary coupon, again saying that they have been losing money from unredeemable coupons.

I am NOT using any internet coupons, only coupons from newspapers and magazines, so how they could even suspect that they are fake, I have no idea. Especially as the coupons have articles/pics etc from the newspapers/magazines on the back of them and the paper they are on is not paper you print on. So extremely difficult and certainly not worth the hassle for anyone to make fakes of.

I think it is time to email head office again to tell them about what is happening and see if they will do something about it as this is just stupid.
I posted on here a few weeks ago to warn others about buying lots of mags/papers to get the coupons as I thought they might be stuck with them as I was as I was not allowed to use a mag coupon from the daily mail unless I bought the mag and a friend who works at T said it was because they were not selling enough of the mags to redeeem the coupons and she told me it was to be national policy but after that other couponers posted that they were allowed to use them in their T so my friend was obviously told the wrong info but i would suggest that is perhaps the reason for the limits on use rather than them being suspect/fake. T are becoming very careful about what they will and won't accept and I personally think it won't be long before they stop accepting them unless we buy the product
I was also told by another friend who spoke to a friendly SA that in my area and the surrounding counties there are only 2 Tesco's that now accept coupons wiht a 5 limit on use - I don't know how true it is but if it is the case my couponing days are numbered I feel and my days of shopping wiht T too as I don't like their shop and only go there because of the coupon policy

When I first started viewing this forum some of the ladies used to do a moc dance when moc's were getting scarce! (I think it involved taking all your clothes off and going outside [A kind of Red Indian war dance I always imagined as not lucky enough to have witnessed one ;))

I think it's time for those ladies (and any others who want to join in - Not you Mad) to resurrect this tradition, I know it's cold and there's more snow on the way but it's March tomorrow and we haven't had any decent moc's for ages, desperate times desperate measures etc....... This is a Venus only event :D:p

Well, the vast majority of MOCs are not for magazines or newspapers, even though that is where I find them. They are almost always for things that Tesco sell by the bucketload. It is coming to the point where it just isn't worth the hassle anymore.

I shopped at Asda for the first time in ages yesterday. It is cheaper and the own brand food is a lot healthier. As like you, I only shopped at Tesco because of their coupon policy which made them a lot cheaper than Asda.

If Tesco change their coupon policy to only accepting if you buy the product, it will be their loss.
